Nilesh Pingale's Review On ASM's College Of Commerce, Science & Information Technology - [CSIT], Pune

Entrance Preview :

There isn't any compulsion of attendance in the college, admission process was very easy and anyone can take the admission easily, you just need to give entrance test or submit any other entrance score and register yourself on the college admission site. The management of the college will call you to explain the next steps that needs to be followed to get the admission in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I loved the course curriculum of the college and found it very interesting to learn. The college has introduced a lot of interactive sessions to teach the subjects so that students find the subjects interesting and easy to learn. The college also gives students a lot of case studies to solve so that they can learn and understand the situations that usually arises in the industry.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship programme was very good. I learnt a lot during these 3 months and the best part was that they offered us full time job opportunities once we complete our college. We were also given stipend of Rs.10000 every month which was pretty good since we were only undergraduate students and my friends of other colleges got only Rs2500 to Rs3000 per month as the stipend.

Placement Experience :

A lot of companies comes to our college every year to hire the best talent. There is usually a procedure that needs to be followed like you will need to apply for the company a month before they come to college without knowing the field of operations which I didn't like personally. Also, we were not allowed to apply in more than 3 companies at once, which was weird for me.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni of the college are too good. They helped me throughout the admission process and during the college years. They were always ready to help and guide at any situation and were readily available at a phone call or an email. I loved when they used to share their personal and professional experiences because it gives us a lot of knowledge and understanding of the world and people around us.

MIT WPU offers on campus placements to its students. Students are eligible for placements from their final year. Reputed companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Wipro, and more hire students from MIT WPU every year. The highest package for BBA is 12 LPA and the average package is 6 LPA. Most students are able to secure placements and many of them get good packages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. The reason I choose this stream I also don't know currently but yeah this course helped me a lot. I didn't knew anything about the course I thought about taking it and later I took it . Nothing like I saw any specific aspects of the curriculum but whoever is going to join see carefully what are the aspects in the course. 2. As I said I choose this randomly it made me understood many things the business world , money flows , profit loss in real world and many business, financial and corporate aspects .. I learned a lot by choosing BBA. 3. I think the course should have the real time implementation in their syllabus. More new things in this fast changing world .New aspects as the students will know the real time knowledge about those aspects. 4. Time used to be like 8 am to 10 am ( sem exams ). I think the timing can be shifted to 9 am so that it will be more convenient for students who live far away from college . And difficulty level.. see it depends upon students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams are held on a regular basis. The difficulty level of these exams is easy to medium. One can choose from several specialisation subjects so that they can learn the subject of their interest. The teaching method involves using books and power point presentation.

Placement Experience:

Students from the fifth semester become eligible for the final placements. Many companies come to the college for campus placements, some of them are Deloitte, Infosys, tresvista, byjus, toppers.com, Wipro, Indigo, etc. Generally, packages offered by the companies range from 1 lakh to 10 lakhs. The highest package was 28 lakhs offered by Deloitte in the year 2020-2021. 50-60% of students get placed every year. Some go for placements and some for higher studies. I am also planning to go for MBA.
