Remarks :

The office staff is very very particular so never mess with them. Else management is much better than other government colleges.

Entrance Preview :

There is no entrance exam as such. You just require 12th marks and then you're called for interview which is supposed to be very precise. Basically, your knowledge of the subject is assessed.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My batch was the last one to graduate from Gujarat University. Till my time, Economics course was poorly built really no maths and hardly any practical approach towards the subject. But thankfully I've heard from my juniors that it has changed now and that now they've introduced R as a subject as well which is very good for further studies.

Internships Opportunities :

There is no internship facility as such. You may get an internship but it has to be on your own don't expect anything from college.

Placement Experience :

I don't know now but till my time there was practically NO PLACEMENT. Not a single company visits even maybe because of the poor course structure. But then TCS came to train and recruit but not in a particular field. However, I've heard there are placements in the B.Sc department.

College Events :

There are many seminars and college events. To mention a few the annual college fest happens every year which is really fun. The Economics department of St. Xavier's college also organizes the Annual Economics festival COGNOSCENCE which has events like mock stock, building Economies and quiz, treasure hunt.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The Fees structure is extremely feasible. I was under Gujarat University so my fees were hardly 1k in a semester including each and everything. Even after autonomy, the fees must be feasible enough for anyone to study there. You've to pay once at the starting of the semester only.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no scholarship as such offered by the college in particular. The fees, as mentioned above is also feasible enough that one need not opt for any loan.

Campus Life :

The library has a really good collection. My favorite part used to be in the library not only your particular section but all the sections are great. The infrastructure is again newly made so it adds to the experience. The canteen is a great place to hang out, the walls are painted every year by the student's is during the annual fest and mind you they can blow you away. The crowd obviously is stylish enough urging you to join the league.

Hostel Facilities :

I was a resident of Ahmedabad but I had my friends at the hostel who said how pathetic it was. The hostel facilities are good but for the girls, there are strict timings. The food is not very bad but decent. The facilities anyways are great and the best part is they're really cheap so anyone would opt for the same

Alumni/Alumna :

There is no alumni network provided by the college. The seniors, only if know them are good to you else your luck!

Exam Structure :

There are mock tests and class tests in the starting. Mid semester exams around August and September. Then, end semester exams for college and then again for University which makes it tedious. You've to maintain attendance and decent score in all the above-mentioned exams.

Admission :

I got around 80% in my 12th. I was then called for and interview and then you're finally sent to meet Father principal who is the best person at college, he'll explain you everything and there you enter your college life! The admissions are online now mostly in the first week of July or before that. The process is simple.

Faculty :

Albeit the course was poorly made but the best part was faculties. Father Robert is the best principal as well as the professor. He actually is the reason you'll start loving Economics. I still miss those early morning lectures. Professor Pinky Desai is again a great teacher! She knows her subject well and is a great friend if you really know her.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is no difficulties in exams if you're attending lectures regularly. And the students must be in contact with professors so they can help you for clearing doubts and all... This college provides extra classes and even doubt lectures also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to become a psychologist and help people solve their daily life problems. The faculty-student ratio is 1:16. The faculty is amazing. Teachers are experienced. Exams are not much difficult and not much easy as well. It lies in the moderate category.
