It's Complicated

Remarks :

Good: Lot of energy Diversity Library Extracurricular Activities Student societies A functioning training and placement cell BAD: A signature of vice principal, which you will need for almost everything Goons, who are present at your campus without being student of your college And, finally the Management which doesn't really want to improve

Entrance Preview :

No entrance needed. Your 12th score is sufficient to get in here. Scoring anyway between 75-90% will ensure that you get admission in first list. If you have scored less than this then just be patient and wait for second and third list. Almost everyone wants to study get admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Don't expect much from Pune university syllabus. Best part about BBM is as International Business is specialisation, you get to learn a compulsory foreign language. Apart from that, it's just that you are getting lot of free time for yourself being in a commerce college, which you can utilise in order to prepare for your Master's studies entrance preparation or Join some competitive exam classes or founding your own start-up. Time is your luxury. Use it wisely. As far as it's about passing your university exam, doing even previous year question papers will surely help (sadly).

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are disappointing. You will work hard for those things which are not worth it. Local companies or some market research type door to door jobs for pretty stipend, that really sucks. Better to do something by your own in your vacations. Training and placement cell peole ask you to fill forms for your internships again and again.

Placement Experience :

Some good companies are : Wipro, KPMG, ICICI Lombard, ITC Group Of Hotels. Some bad companies: Those one room startups where everyone is kind off CEO, and those Back Office jobs. Decide wisely, which placement you want to opt for. Don't be a part of placement cell. Let others work. Working for training and placement cell will not going to add any special attribute in your CV when it comes to getting placed.

College Events :

Being a commerce student you will get lot of time to engage yourself in end number of activities. College has several associations and sport facilities. One who want to develop himself/herself with all extracurricular activities, there is a lot to do at college. You just need to explore.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It's pretty unfair for our of state students that they have to pay almost double the fees than that of what state students are paying. But that's the fact. I ended up paying around 36 Thousand per year on an average for three years. First year fees is inclusive of your uniform. ;)

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Not really. Also, fees is not too much that one may need any loan to study here. However few scholarships from ministry of social justice and development may be helpful for students to cover their living expenses. But it's highly advisable to students to do a thorough research about scholarships and loan facilities.

Campus Life :

College campus is good. Gender ratio as far as BBA section is considered, it's well balanced. Library is the best place where you can find all good people, helpful and assisting you at time to time and you can make the best use of library facilities. Marathi Literary Association, Hindi Association, English Association, Book Lovers Group, Quiz Club, Ness Wadia Investors Association: You name it . Everything is here. Your extracurricular activities are never really going to stop. B.Com section represents a huge majaroty of Marathi speaking people, coming from village background. So it's a really nice experience to mix with them and learn new things which you probably don't even know. But, sadly few of B.Com section people will make you think twice whether they are students of college. Lot of people who are not even students of college, keep on coming to college to stalk girls. This needs to be stopped. And College is not paying enough attention to address these issues. College host several prestigious inter college competitions. Annual fest is an another attraction (with lot of anti social elements attending it).

Hostel Facilities :

Frankly speaking, I didn't stay at Hostel. But what I came to know from my friends staying at hostel is hostels are quite congested. But I will advise aspirants to go in person to Hostel and take a look by themselves to avoid any miscommunication over this particulartopic.

Alumni/Alumna :

Almuni Meet is arranged for first year students every year. I have visited college several times after being graduated. Even when I was studying, alumni used to come and share their real time experiences. Alumni are easily approachable. Alumni even help you whether it's about placements or its about deciding your Master's courses.

Exam Structure :

There are just two semesters a year for BBA, BBM and BCA course. Now all courses are renamed as a BBA with specialisation like IB (International Business) and CA (Computer Application). First year scores are not part of your degree. Second and Third year marks (semester 3,4,5,6) going to matter after all. Fill university exam forms on time to avoid any last minute rush. College library has an Internet section, which is really helpful to keep track of all these things.

Admission :

There are lot of goons roaming at the college campus during admission days, claiming that they have solid connections and then can do it for you for some money. GUYS PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A SINGLE RUPEE TO ANYONE. I filled a waiting list form and then got my name is merit list. After giving demand draft of fees and filling online form, my admission was confirmed. Website is a bit messy and complicated, but you will get used to it as you will be filling the form for second and third year also.

Faculty :

There were just two professors worth admiring in BABA building. Rest of people are kind of contract basis working people. So, the quality of teaching is not really impressive . You have to help yourself. I didn't attend any tution for accounts. But I will advise, rather than depending upon College Classes (which only happen in first year). If you value of every single rupee spent by you, then just go to staff room and ask them your doubts until they sort it out.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. The reason I choose this stream I also don't know currently but yeah this course helped me a lot. I didn't knew anything about the course I thought about taking it and later I took it . Nothing like I saw any specific aspects of the curriculum but whoever is going to join see carefully what are the aspects in the course. 2. As I said I choose this randomly it made me understood many things the business world , money flows , profit loss in real world and many business, financial and corporate aspects .. I learned a lot by choosing BBA. 3. I think the course should have the real time implementation in their syllabus. More new things in this fast changing world .New aspects as the students will know the real time knowledge about those aspects. 4. Time used to be like 8 am to 10 am ( sem exams ). I think the timing can be shifted to 9 am so that it will be more convenient for students who live far away from college . And difficulty level.. see it depends upon students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams are held on a regular basis. The difficulty level of these exams is easy to medium. One can choose from several specialisation subjects so that they can learn the subject of their interest. The teaching method involves using books and power point presentation.

Placement Experience:

Students from the fifth semester become eligible for the final placements. Many companies come to the college for campus placements, some of them are Deloitte, Infosys, tresvista, byjus, toppers.com, Wipro, Indigo, etc. Generally, packages offered by the companies range from 1 lakh to 10 lakhs. The highest package was 28 lakhs offered by Deloitte in the year 2020-2021. 50-60% of students get placed every year. Some go for placements and some for higher studies. I am also planning to go for MBA.
