Remarks :

For any of the courses be it be B.Sc , B.A , BBA, etc ., you should have cleared 10+2 either from the West Bengal board or any recognized board with atleast 70+ %. And talking about admission details and forms you can easily find it on the College website also you have a toll-free contact number there so that you can clear your Queries. Reservation is available in college but mainly for ST & SC for general and OBCs you should have atleast 75 +% to get to any course of your choice.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As i am a student of B.Sc in Computer Science I have no doubt to tell that the faculty is totally amazing you get the best teachers for your guidance and our HoD is also very kind towards students, every class has a good ratio of students maximum of the students around you will be from Bengal board so if you are from ICSE / CBSE you will definitely have a barrier of your thoughts with them as I too have the same in my initial days, every teacher in their fields are highly qualified their are teachers with Ph.D. and talking about exams you will have Semester wise exams, normal Year end exams and with some courses you will have practicals and internals too.

Class Size : 25Course Fees : INR 6500 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is not so high not so low if you reside in Jalpaiguri then its very low for you but if you are in PG or rent then it would cost you around 6000 /- Month and if in hostels then it depends upon you how much you use your money in friends? Canteen / etc., etc , Colleges announce State-based scholarships to students like currently, Swami Vivekananda student Scholarship is running where students get around 12000-18000 per year for their expenses by the gov.

Campus Life :

Sports, Cultural, and Extra-Curricular Activities are provided along with NCC & NSS. Also if interested you can join the College Students union where you get exposure about everything that you c get to know about politics.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are like okay okay , and foods are also good but home foods are home foods and if you are likely to have freedom and enjoy your life then you can have a room or PG which will roughly cost you 6000 with fooding 3 times meals a day.

Hostel Fee : INR 5000 per year

Need To Upgrade

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course contains the knowledge of advance anatomy, USG, X ray, CT, MRI machines which influenced me to choose this course as it is in high demands these days. The University curriculum does not provide enough knowledge to the students neither in theory not in practical. They can add advanced anatomy, and a theoretical knowledge of CT and MRI for atleast a semester each. They can upgrade the lab facilities. Mid semester are taken after 2 months from the start of the semester and end semester is taken after 2 months of mid semester.

Haldia Government College Is Best For Geography Honours

Course Curriculum Overview:

Geography is the only subject for art students which gives you many opportunities like geology, remote sensing and GIS sector and also alike other subjects higher study. In the geography department, there is around 6 permanent professor and teachers students ratio is 1:10. Most teachers are net set qualified. And our college is very good at geography. There is only selection based on geography number and overall subject number in higher secondary.

I am interested in doing PhD from one of the best university in foreign and for that IISERs are great platform and among IISERs, IISER Kolkata is best. Students after doing their graduation from here easily secure PhD position in foreign universities.

Placement Experience:

ISER Kolkata is striving to increase the placement options for students, and a placement cell is being formed. IISER Kolkata has an entrepreneurship cell to help young entrepreneurs to bring their ideas into reality. IISER Kolkata students often get good research-oriented internships in India and abroad in universities and research institutes. Some notable places where students of IISER Kolkata have been offered short internships are Princeton University, UCLA, EPFL, Gottingen University, Lund University and many more. Some national level undergraduate research programs where IISER-K students often get selected include VSRP, SRFP, ICTS, SN Bhatt fellowship programme and more. Most of these offer a good stipend and TA.

Remarks:

These are the colleges made for research purposes, and they are not job oriented. There are no official placements in any IISER. Most of the students opt for higher studies in abroad. Moreover, IISER students get a benefit over other students during admissions in abroad colleges due to its reputation in the field of research.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are few as most students opt for higher studies. Few companies like ITC Infotech, TCS, etc., visit the campus for placements. The placement cell is increasing its base and hopefully, it will be able to invite more R&D companies. Chemistry branch has good placements, and many companies visit the campus for placements.

Remarks:

The area of the college is too small. So some classrooms are very small. But there are many windows in the classrooms. The benches in the classrooms are made of wood and steel rods. There is one big blackboard in every class.
