Remarks :

I found this University quite good. There are proper lab facilities and proper facilities. The teachers are quite good and helping. We periodically go for practical lessons. We have class from 9 am to 4 pm. The seniors are also helping. I was facing difficulties in Anatomy, so I talked about the same with my teacher and they managed some extra classes for anatomy. The quality of studies is very good. We are also provided with a cadaver for learning. From next year we will be going to the hospital for learning purposes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The exam is scheduled after every semester, two times a year. We also have viva exams. For our help, the college also conducts some pre-exams. To say about the difficulty of the exam, they are moderate if you have studied well but very difficult if you have not studied properly the whole semester.

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are no proper scholarships. I got a set in the college through my NEET score. It took me 2 years to crack the NEET. As it's the MBBS course, we have to complete our internship after completing NEET-UG and then we will get a job in the hospital and we can also go for further studies.

Campus Life :

We have a WhatsApp group of our classmates in which we share study materials and sometimes even have fun there. We also have a student club that is responsible for timely managing college functions and competitions.

Hostel Facilities :

First-year students must live in the hostel. We are provided with a Two-seater room. The rooms have heaters, refrigerators, Coolers and other facilities. We are charged Rs 8000 per month for the room( including mess).

Hostel Fee : INR 84000 per year

The curricullum is better now, they have introduced a new syllabus under cbme which quite interesting and useful. But they should make some changes in cbme in order to gmhave a good outcome. The exams are frequent that they are keeping monthly exams and assessment exams after each classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty are approachable and friendly. All faculty are government doctors working in the hospital with qualifications of MD and DM. The teaching is very good in the postings, and in classes, they will be teaching through PPT. We will have exams once per year, they are University exams.. and easy to pass if you study well.

Remarks:

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.
