Remarks :
The admission here is done on a merit-based system, no separate entrance exam is conducted in this college. The admission is done in two ways online and offline. The offline mode of admission is for those who do not get admission online. In the online process, students need to visit the university portal for filling and Submission of applications. The online admission process is done in three slots, after each slot the merit list of the selected students is released, if a student does not get selected in the first slot he can apply again in the second slot. Rs26 is charged for Submission of application in online mode and if shortlisted for admission then have to pay 360Rs for admission. The seats allotted for honours subjects are based on reservation Every department of physical science has 22 seats reserved for honours. The online admission process needs to be developed.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I want to be a dedicated teacher. The faculty provided here are good, well trained. Most of the teachers are P.hd holders and others have done master's degrees. The teaching is based on textbooks and each class continues for 45 minutes. The exams are taken semester-wise, before each semester internal exams and assignments are taken by the respective departments. The difficulty level of the exam is above average. Placement is not available in our college, the college provides only general teaching degree courses so no recruiters visit for hiring students for jobs. Most of the students go in search of private and government internship programmes.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Semester exam fees are to be paid by the students. The exam fee is in Rs520 for 1year students and Rs680 for 2nd and 3rd years. There is no major financial assistance provided to the students only scholarships under NSP and special scholarships under state schemes are provided.
Campus Life :
Campus life is an acceptable, annual fest like a fresher party, new year, and picnic including other calendar celebration like Gandhi Jayanti, etc are held. The college has active students help center run by seniors and teachers. They help and resolve the problems related to the college and the students of the college. Sports facilities are limited, two playgrounds are available for cricket and football. The sports facilities are under development. There are four buildings in the campus , and the arrangement of the rooms for practical labs, honours and pass classes is good. A seperate library with a reading room is available. There is a hostel innthe college which can accommodate about 30 students which are reserved only for ST boys.
