Remarks :
I had applied for B.Sc., Physics. The students who had completed their higher secondary with physics as one of the subjects are eligible for this course. The application form is available both online and offline and the application fee is Rs.150 and the application date is announced through our college website. The admission process is purely merit-based.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Only because of my interest in physics since my childhood, I had chosen this course. Approximately the faculty: student ratio is 1:5. All the faculty had done their doctorate. Teachers are flexible according to the students in their teaching method. Tests will be conducted every month and the difficulty level to pass is moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
As we are physics students, we had internships mostly at research centers like BARC, IISC. It will be the summer internship. The stipend is 10000-15000 per month according to the institutes. In the final semester, students will have their project work.
Placement Experience :
The final year students are eligible for the campus placements. The companies like Infosys, Wipro, and several schools had visited. The selected students had offered to do B.Ed. while working by the visited schools. seventy-five percent of students getting placements. My plan after getting the degree is to do a Master's in physics.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure is scheduled in which it does not affect the students or their parents. The Community scholarships, Farmer Scholarships, Jindal Scholarships, etc.., were availed by the students of all courses in our college. The placements are too good on our campus. There is a "Placement cell" which had a group of faculty members as the main pillar for the good Placement opportunity for the students even online in the lockdown periods due to covid-19. I got selected for the role of Operations Executive at Infosys.
Campus Life :
Every year they had conducted a cultural program in August in which the students show their skills and they also conducted the March Past to enhance the love of the nation among the students. There is a library in each department and a general library which is common for all students. Our college also gave importance to Sports, NSS, NCC, YRC. The students in all the teams achieved a lot. There is an Abdul kalam science club in our department which is run by the students. There is a YouTube channel that is established by the faculty members for the students.
Hostel Facilities :
Each room is occupied by 4 or 5 members in the hostel. And the room contains enough tables, chairs which are used for the students to study. the quality of the meal is good and the menu registration process for the hostel is simple.
