KJSIM review

Remarks :

Our college offers a variety of management courses, with MBA and MMS being the most popular. The institute was ranked 5th overall in the Times 2019 rankings, while the MBA programme was ranked 54th by NIRF and 25th by IndiaToday. K.J Somaiya works for Maharashtra University and has AICTE approval. The general selection procedure of the college is also a factor in seat allocation for MMS admissions.

Course Curriculum Overview :

After graduation, I had a lot of options, but because I did my Bachelor's in BMS, MMS seemed like the best option for a fruitful future to me. The institute not only provided me with educational services, but also played an important role in improving my work skills, personality, and confidence. Our college's teachers were extremely dedicated to their work, and they were able to provide us with the best facilities.

Internships Opportunities :

I got to have a good experience about industries and their work during my graduation only, and two, to take that to the next level, I decided to participate in our college's internship round. Like the majority of the participants, I received a good offer that was deemed beneficial to both me and my work skills.

Placement Experience :

All of our college's courses, whether MBA, MMS, or MCA, were in high demand during the placements around, and thanks to some really good offers, our batch was able to earn an average salary of INR 9.2 lakh per annum. Our institute's best package for my batch was INR 28 lpa. As a result of over 105 companies attending the campus placements, we had 90 percent or more of the students placed.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Our college's fee structure is quite reasonable; while the MBA fee may appear to some to be higher, the fee for the MMS programme was approximately INR 6.54 Lacs. This fee was divided into evenly distributed shifts, which were determined by the college. The college awarded scholarships to students who performed admirably in the entrance examination.

Campus Life :

I was always excited about any cultural competition or activity at our college because it relieved a lot of the pressure from my studies. I also used to go to the library to expand my knowledge in a calm environment. The college also had a large playground, a cafeteria, and other facilities that were used for their intended purposes. Our college's best clubs were the placement cell, the student's committee, and the alumni cell. K.J Somaiya also had an innovative women's development cell.

Hostel Facilities :

We were given seperate hostel facilities as per gender diversity ; namely Sandipani : The boys hostel and Maitreyi : Girls Hostel. It was really wonderful to relive the hostel life experience that too from K.J Somaiya but I think it could have been even better if the hostel fee was a little lower. Although the college gave us all necessary facilities, whether related to accommodation, food , entertainment or sports.

Admission :

Our college primarily accepts MAH-CET scores, but students with valid scores in other management entrance exams such as CAT, GMAT, and others may also apply. Aside from that, the selection process includes a personal interview and a group exercise. Then there was our college's counseling round.

Placement Experience:

the placement opportunities at TIMSR are quite strong, and I’m confident I’ll find a good role after completing my degree.Students at TIMSR usually become eligible for campus placements starting in the third semester. That’s when most of the recruitment drives, pre-placement talks, and interviews happen.

Admission:

One of my friend suggested me to join this college. As I heard, I went through google to know more about this college. The college has got good reviews from the students who have studied there. I opted MMS because I want to get a post-graduation degree in commerce. And I would like to become an entrepreneur, so I must need to know more about business and that's the reason I end up with choosing this course.

Remarks:

The vast college campus was the best thing about the college but the faculty was not up to the mark which made our experience at one of the best B schools in city very average. The library and infrastructure facilities provided to us were very good.
