Remarks :
After my high schooling(10th class), I'm very much interested to join Intermediate in any local college. But my school principal told me that you can apply for RGUKT ADMISSIONS because you have got a good CGPA in the 10th class. In this way, I came to know about the college where I was studying at present. Later I applied to get admission to my college (RGUKT-SKLM) based on SSC marks. As I opted for the special category CAP(Children of Armed Personnel), they made a call to come to college for certificate verification. That day I went to my college for the first time and submitted my CAP certificate and returned home. They haven't given any guarantee of admission because it was not counselling. From that day, I dreamed of getting admission. Finally, I got a call letter from the college through the website to attend counselling. I felt very happy and attended counselling on 12th Aug 2016. I submitted my SSC marks sheet, caste, ration card study and conduct certificates and joined the college on 16th Aug.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course to study mechanical engineering as my graduation. As it was an integrated B.Tech course which includes an Intermediate course as PUC(Pre University Course). So, I completed PUC and opted for mechanical engineering after PUC. Here the quality of teaching is up to mark and they will teach according to the student's state of mind. Our faculty members have their qualification as M. Tech and some of them were doing PhD also. As we are having our every complete academic year in two semesters and one summer semester, there will be three midterm exams and one end semester exam for every semester. This pattern allows you to learn the prepare the syllabus accordingly with your own interest. The level of difficulty is moderate so that it depends on the student basically.
Internships Opportunities :
I did my internship in VIZAG STEEL PLANT(VSP) in Field Machinery Department We studied hydraulic systems of loaders and dumpers in the internship. It was a great experience in the steel plant and l felt the real industrial experience. I also completed a machine learning internship in internshipstudio. I also did two mini projects in my third year of engineering and have yet to make a major project in my final year.
Placement Experience :
Our college had Placements and training cells to provide internships for students in the engineering stream. They will provide internships from the college side and make other outside interns also available. Every person must do an internship which was included in our curriculum. They will allow long term interns and short term internships upon our interest. Placement opportunities will be more and maximum for CSE and ECE students only and top companies like TCS, WIPRO, S2 TECH, CODE TANTRA etc were provided with their respective packages. They will provide the highest package of 6.6 LPA and that too with pre agreement only. As of now, I'm planning to get a public sector job by preparing for GATE and ESE Examinations.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In our college, the fee structure is 36000/ year for PUC and 40000/year for Engineering. For all ration cardholders and respective reservation categories, they will get fee reimbursement from the state government. They will get reimbursement based on their caste and the remaining small amount should be paid by ourselves only. Now, these reimbursement is being given as Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Jagananna Vasathi Deevena by the state government.
Campus Life :
Often it is a university, it gives full freedom to every student to fly his thoughts. You will have the best infrastructure to study and 24 hrs unlimited internet facility. We have a very big library which shows a way to explore the world in books and journals. Every student was provided with a laptop and other accessories to make them learn individually about recent technologies and make them connected to the hectic developed technology which was outside the college. Every year there will be freshers meet, technical fest and cultural fest which gives perfect college atmosphere for students. We did a technical fest named tecrush and contributed to me as a branch coordinator. We also created our helping organization named sahaya Mithra which helps students in trouble. We as mechanical students started the automobile club and formed a team to manufacture formula cars and ATV's to participate in many events conducted at the national level.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel Accommodation is very best in our institution because standards of maintaining the hostel are very nice. A room can be shared by a maximum of three members. Hostels are very clean and neat and also provided with internet facility for 24 hours. Food quality also makes you feel at your home because many tenders were made for mess contracts. We will have non veg items (Chicken) once every week and eggs will be provided daily. Both mess and hostel us affordable because it was provided by the government.
