Entrance Preview :

I Gave MHT-CET. I was interested in computer engineering so i opted this stream and as u came to know from all friends somaiya is best for computer department. I got 150 score in CET.

Internships Opportunities :

For stipend internship there were companies like Barclay's, Coupon Duniya, BookmyShow, KeyEqual Technology, BrainyBatch, Zupp etc. Generally stipend paid was around 10k

Placement Experience :

Talikng to placement it is why students choose this college more than 90% placement. Companies like Infosys Accenture TCS are Mass recruiters which recruit about 450 students and package is around 3.5lakh.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees here is expensive. Tuition fees is around 1,17,000And other fess which consist of examination, library, miscellaneous which makes total 1,19,746 for final year students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Being belonging to Jain minority i availed State Government Scholarship. Also Tata Scholarships is provided to the students on basis of merit.

Hostel Facilities :

I had a friend who stay's in hostel. Actually hostel is of KJ Somaiya Polytechnic which is just average facilities and mess is not good also, another hostel over here is of KJ Somaiya Management which is good and mess available here is also good but rates

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Here the seniors show there little power at Playing room but not a big issue. Alumni network here is good as each students have somaiya mail ID and we have interaction on basis of that.

Exam Structure :

Being this institute now Autonomous it doesn't have exam schedule as Mumbai University which takes a long month while here it takes 10 day. Talking about labs we have atleast 1 lab a day which doesn't makes it hectic.

LIFE at VIT

Placement Experience:

Students from the 7th semester onwards are eligible for campus placements. Core Biomedical companies like GE, Medtronics, biosense etc and IT companies like TCS, JIO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI etc Recruit Biomedical Engineers. Most Biomedical Students prefer Masters over placements. 80 percent of students from selected candidates get placed. I will go for Placements and I will get into post graduation after clearing GATE 2023.

Remarks:

Location is most likely a factor for me. It is closed to my home. And the another factor is that, Different colleges offer different programs with their curriculum. For example, as an Engineering student, I had a set of classes that I was required to take, with little deviation apart from electives.

I haven't experienced placements yet. but yes the deserving students get internship every year. The whole staff of this college is very nice.
