Remarks :
I have applied for 30 colleges in the state counseling. Based on state entrance exam rank we will be allotted a college. So according to my preference J.B institute was in 7th place and I was offered this college by the state education broad. There are no admission criteria for this college as such anyone who passed 12th grade can apply. After I got assigned to this college, I went along with my parents to pay the admission fee and talked to the college placement officer. The college has organized a joining ceremony day for all the first-year students where they have talked about college, facilities, and achievements.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It is an autonomous Institute so they used to conduct a term exam every 2 months. It's not difficult you can easily clear those tests. In our section, there are about 50 students and we have about 7 subjects. So there is one faculty for one subject to handle 50 students. Teaching is almost the same everywhere in our state colleges. Here they used to teach with the help of a practical approach in the labs. Self Learning is encouraged. Faculty are good and friendly they will help you with decision making and solve all your doubts.
Placement Experience :
There are placements coming mostly in fourth year second semester i.e starts in January mostly. As I mentioned MNCs have not visited our college and only start ups do visit. The average package is 3 lakhs provided by the college placements. It's me who received the highest package in the college but it's not via on campus. Even the second highest package isn't via on campus. The good thing is a lot of average students get placed via on campus in the college. If you want a package say above 100000 you should try off Campus.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college didn't provide any scholarship or financial assistance. I have received the scholarship provided by state government only. The college has provided placements but all the companies visited are start ups only. No MNC has visited the college. However students here get placed at MNCs via off Campus. I got placed in 8 companies but all of them are via off Campus only. I didn't sit for college placements. But the students who join here are meritorious and only those with good rank get seat here. Things are changing in the college and I heard there's a new placement officer in the college now and he's also trying very much in bringing more companies to the college.
Campus Life :
NSS club: This is the most active student club in the college and there is a faculty coordinator for this group. Nss club takes part in almost all the college activities. They also organise nss camp every year. SAC : sac stands for student activity center. It's responsible for organizing meetings and the club members take part in anchoring at college events. Orators Club: This is an interesting club and is completely taken care by the students. They organize many activities for students. These members work for students.
Hostel Facilities :
The college hostel is available but it's very costly. You can get many private hostels near the college separately for men and women. I recommend private hostels. The hostel fee is 3800 to 5000 per month at private hostels and upto 80000 at college hostels per year. So it's wise to choose private hostels but the college hostel is situated within the college campus and better for first year girl students. The locality is good and near to Mehdipatnam and moinabad. I stayed in private hostel. It's a good experience and saved money too.
