Remarks :
The admission process was easy. No quota was used by me. Personal Interview was conducted by a bench, and that was the deciding criterion. I was told that I was selected based on soft skills and communication. I couldn't attend CAT or RMAT due to personal commitment, so I had no choice, but the overall choice proved fruitful as I got a very good choice of specialisation, Business Analytics. Counselling was provided by Leena ma'am who was empathetic to my needs for a modern career, and that's how I cornered my specialisations: Business Analytics and Finance.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course to create an impressive career in the world of data analytics, as a data scientist. Faculty: The student Ratio is about average, at around 1:40, probably the only weak point of my otherwise impressive experience. All faculty members are well experienced and immensely committed to their work and helpful towards students. I didn't quite specifically check the qualifications but in my opinion, all are immensely qualified. Their communication is up to the mark, and the teaching method is a mix of English and Hindi, considering the entire class' consensus. Midterms and pre exam tests are conducted and those are a reasonable challenge. However, due to Corona, most of these were open book tests, easy to pass mostly.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are the focus of our degree course, and even during the Corona times, the college managed to gather us online internship opportunities in which we did desk jobs from our homes, including compiling lists of use to the HR Manager. The internship had a very basic stipend, not much. Understandable due to corona, but I don't have much info on past internships. The company of my internship was uPlatz.
Placement Experience :
Students start getting placement offers from 3rd semester ending. A lot of companies have visited the campus, or proper arrangements are made for travel to recruitment venue. Companies like Google, HP, Synoriq, Bajaj, etc have offered jobs to students. Dedicated placement officer Inderpreet ma'am is always helpful towards the same. The highest pay package was offered to a student, around 14 Lakhs per annum. The average pay package may be around 4-5 Lakhs per annum or so, but this is expected to increase to around double due to the Business Analytics stream which is offered here. Almost all students who apply for placement get it, and some opt out by giving an application, due to family business and all. Placement for interested students is around 80%, but a small minority of students also goes into entrepreneurship after being motivated for the same. My plan is to be a data scientist, and my target package is Rs. 10 Lakhs/ annum, in any Indian city. I'm committed to the same.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For a few years now, fees have not been hiked for reasons not known. They could be due to stable demand for MBA, or something else I can't comment on. The cost to study is very reasonable in my opinion, considering the small city economy. The scholarship was not availed by me, but I've heard that weak students can take scholarships even on giving a written application to the director sir. Job is pending, but I've attended some interviews and things seem positive for now. Some more interviews in my area of interest (Data Analytics) are due and I expect them to be immensely good offers.
Campus Life :
Our Annual events "Vakamya" and "Vigam" make a good opportunity to present our talents and they're held at a convenient time, the first one during August, and the second one right before summer holidays and after exams in March. Books and journals are available in the library, although the range is ok and the expansion is still being done regularly. Classrooms have basic amenities like Air condition systems or fans, Whiteboards, etc. Smart classes are occasionally chosen by professors for a class on the projector whenever it's suitable which is great. Sports facilities are excellent. No doubting that. With synthetic flooring for basketball and tennis courts and all facilities available, a sportsman will never feel out of place here. For a sportsperson, Aryabhatta is currently the best choice in the small city we're in, undoubtedly. Other extracurricular activities are also done, including debate, indoor games, presentation competitions, admad show, etc.
