Remarks :
I have applied for colleges such as JNTU, OU, MGIT, VNR-VJIT, Sreenidhi, vardhaman etc. I got a free seat due to my rank in eamcet. Admission in CVR college is based on eamcet result. A seat can also be taken based on the score of JEE Mains
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have an interest in Electronics. There is a faculty for every 40 students. Faculty's qualifications may vary from PG to PHD but most faculty have competed their PHD. Their teaching was upto date and on point. They have created their own material and PowerPoint presentations in the pandemic and explained in a simple way. Term exams were conducted for every 6-7 months. It was fairly easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are offered by the companies that come for placements. A student can also avail internship offers outside the college. Stipend varied depending on the company. Recently we got a company named GAP hiring students for internships offering a stipend upto 30000.
Placement Experience :
In 6th semester companies start coming to college for placements. There are so many companies that come to college, Amazon, tcs, Accenture, wipro, capgemini etc. Every year the no of offers keep increasing now it's around 900 . Highest package offered is 30 LPA . On average the package offered is 3-4 LPA.Percentage of students getting placements is fairly high. My plan right now is to get a good placement in college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Every year there is a fee hike of 2-3 thousand rupees. This year the fee was about 1lakh 18 thousand. There are scholarships provided for lower caste students worth 35000 rupees and 100% fee re-embersement for students belonging to sc/st.I did not get any job yet.
Campus Life :
They are fests conducted every 3-4 months by various departments in the college. These fests may/may not be technical. There is a traditional day and annual day celebrated every year. Books of every branch/department of engineering are available in library for free of cost. There are various journals and articles. There is also an online library access. There are sufficient benches in every classroom. The classrooms are well lit and every classroom has a projector and a screen to project. Sports and games are conducted in first year of college. There are many clubs in college, art club, music club, dance club, literature club, street drama club, technical clubs such as technolites and GDSC-CVR.
Interview Experience :
There was no group discussion or interview for the admission. It was all based on score in entrance examinations. Criteria is to get good or required marks in the exam. I started preparing for the entrance exam in intermediate first year. My preparation was for cracking jee mains, the syllabus also covered the portion of ts-eamcet. So attempted it and got a good score to join in CVR college.
