Remarks :
The application should be done by Tamilnadu Veterinary And Animal Sciences University. Application fees are Rs 500. I Was applied to the MBC quota. The minimum mark is 60% and above. The cutoff will be calculated based on Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. You should sit in the auditorium in Madras Veterinary college Chennai the display will show the seats and who is next. You should go to the stage during your turn and select the seat and the fees can be paid there itself otherwise you can pay in university. All original mark sheets should be submitted.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This is the new course at that time and also I interested in learning about poultry. The faculty and student ratio will be 1:9. The faculty qualification is M.V.Sc and PhD. The faculty are having experience in the field the teaching will be in a practical manner. Two internal Theory exam and one internal practical exam will be conducted, that will give the confidence During attending the final examination. If you are studying well during the internal examination means you can pass easily.
Internships Opportunities :
Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt Ltd, Technical officer trained, 6000 per month stipend. Manpower calculation for mash and pellet feed preparation. Energy calculation for mash and pellet feed preparation. Removing excess manpower from the particular department and assign some other work to them. Proposing for changing the process flow to reduce the energy consumption.
Placement Experience :
The campus interview will be conducted in the college after completing the 7th semester. The 7th Semester completed persons are allowed for campus interviews. Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt Ltd, CP India Pvt Ltd, Srinivasa Hatcheries Pvt Ltd, Bigdutchman Pvt Ltd, Suguna chicken Pvt Ltd, Some other local companies etc; Minimum 5 offers will be given by one company. The highest package is 25,000 per month. Average 16,000 per month. Technical officer posting will be given. Almost 95-100% of students will get placement because they should complete an internship for that college will arrange campus interview until 100% placement. I was worked in a feed mill for 5 years. Now I am planning to start one small business in the same field.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fees are very less it can be affordable by the ordinary person. I was submitted my first graduation certificate so I got a deduction from fees. The fess I paid is 4000 per semester. I think at a very little cost I learned one professional degree in a fast growing field (Poultry). The BC, MBC, SC Scholarship will be providers by the state government. During my internship, I got 6000 per month. The campus interview will be conducted in college. After completion of the internship, I got a 17000 per month salary. Food and accommodation are given by the company.
Campus Life :
The college day, cultural day and sports day will be conducted every year. The library having more books related to the Poultry field, the journal also displayed separately related to the Poultry field. The general knowledge books are also available in the library. Online journals are also available. As per our request, a new book will be purchased. The kabaddi, volleyball, cricket, Suttle, table tennis, chess, carom etc; teams will go regularly for university matches. No social group is available for students but ward council time is there and the staff will ask about the problem of the student's.
Hostel Facilities :
Metal cot, Table with lock and key and S type metal chair will be provided. The room is attached with a bathroom and toilet the room will be well spacious. The big size mirror will be fixed in the room and the mosquito net will be fixed in the windows. The common facilities: washing machine, water heater(for bath), RO water system, Hot water dispenser for drinking water. The menu will be created by students only so the menu will be very good. The food quality will be very good and it will be prepared in a very hygienic manner. If the hostel facility is required means you should inform them during counselling they will allot the room. If you want accommodation in the hostel in between periods means you should inform Warden he will allot the room. The hostel facility is very good so I didn't take room outside the campus.
