Remarks :

I was aiming to get into XLRI jamshedpur but did not get the required percentile in the CAT exam, so being a resident of Rajasthan i chose this college due to its location as well as the name and reputation in the education sector. The other reasons were that this college since last 3 years i joined it got closer to 2000 placement offers every year as well as collaboration with industry leaders such as google, microsoft, tech mahindra,IBM,TCS, cisco, etc. I got selected by scoring the required score as well as my school and college marks were given preference with work experience in consideration, after this i had to undergo group discussion and personal interview to finally get admission in the course. For admission i went to the home page clicked on admissions and then was redirected to a page with option of apply online where after filling my details i had to pay an application fees of Rs 850. I got to know about this college from a site called Collegedunia

Course Curriculum Overview :

i chose this course because after working with a BPO for three years i was looking forward to shift into a MNC moreover this course provided an ideal backdrop for experiential and blended learning. This course gave me an exposure that i was looking forward for after grooming myself at a lower level. Also this course gave me an opportunity to get in touch with latest teaching aids, rich learning resources, state of the art infrastructure and a strong industry linkage to provide practical knowledge to me as a budding manager.Faculty was having a diverse educational background like MBA,Phd,NET,M.com,PGDCA etc. The student to faculty ratio was 8:1. Teaching methods were such as i got to solve real business problems through live projects and case studies by developing team work, effective communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills. The curriclum of teaching prepared me for excellence, with leadership roles along diverse career paths with encouragement to professional ethics and active participation needed for a succesful career. The exams were timely after end of semester in june and december in morning shift from 9:30 to 11:30. Exams difficulty was moderate level and passing required consistent attendance of class, seminars, conferences and submission of assignments.

Internships Opportunities :

The role i was offered in the internship was junior business analyst at TCS with a stipend of Rs 28000 for 6 months. In my batch 74 % of the internships were converted to a full time job. For consecutive 4 years 100 % of students got internships.During my internship i was closely monitored and carefully evaluated by the industry supervisors and faculty internship guides. Also some students got international internship with a stipend up to Rs 70000.

Placement Experience :

I was eligible for placememt after my summer internship in the first half of fourth semester. The companies that visited the campus were TCS,Infosys, accenture, tech mahindra, deloitte, TATA, pinnacle etc. The highest package offered was Rs 12 lakhs and the average package was Rs 4.5 lakhs. The profile offered were business analyst, data analyst, conusltant etc.In my batch almost 70 % of the students got placed on campus. After my degree i am doing a job in TCS as a business analyst and my future plan is to work here for 5 years gather the requisite experience and apply for economics programme at booth school of management chicago.

Campus Life :

The campus life at JECRC is exciting with an illustrious infrastructure. There are various indoor and outdoor sports activities. Sports offered are football, basket ball, volleyball, american football, cricket, badminton, kabaadi, table tennis, chess etc. I was the member of college football team and participated in JU VERVE a national sports events .There are inter collegiate competitions in which we were coached by experienced coaches. The central library is open for 12 hours a day. A good collection of reference text books and journals of national and international repute are available to the students. Apart from this there is a subscription of regional newspapers and magazines and journals for the benefit of the students.Various clubs include catchy cultural club, abhivyakti theatre club, the vogue fashion club, literature club, maker space club, master chef club, maker space club, terra club etc. There are various societies such as american society for mechanical engineering, ISACE,Indian society for technical education, institute of engineers india, society of automobile engineers etc.

The hostels are very well furnished with three four single rooms turned into a common room with television set, internet access and pantry. The rooms are air conditioned with a wardrobe, a table with chair, a study lamp, wi-fi enabled.Other facilities in hostel are laundry, medical facilities, mess, geysers in bathrooms and a common room with indoor games. The meal quality is up to the mark with an option for us to choose from special dishes with extra charges, the delicacies offered are fried rice, omellete, egg bhurji and also tea with snacks in the evening.

Admission :

Before finally getting selected i had to undergo a group discussion and a personal interview, the topics of discussion were the impact of demonetisation and GST on indian economy, how china's BRI project is going to impact India. There were 3 moderators and 10 participants. The GD went for 12-13 minutes after which i was asked to write an essay on the same to give my viewpoint and conclusion, After that i faced the interview in which i was asked about the government's decision of revoking article 370, the ram mandir, the local and national issues, worldly affairs, international relations and geopolitics. It was not hard for me as i keep, myself updated with information by routine reading of newspapers and magazines as the questions asked in my interview were about the topics that i read about everyday so it was not a hard task for me at all.
