Vivek Tuteja's Review On Shaheed Udham Singh College Of Engineering And Technology - [SUSCET], Mohali

Entrance Preview :

CET, my rank was around 2100, the reason I chose this college was because this college has a good reputation and culture. Specially as this college is near to Chandigarh area, which make the culture of this college more colorful if compare to colleges of punjab in interior.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was pretty standard, which included most aspects of Computer science engineer. But there is always chance of improvement. They can include few new generation programming languages to curriculum if they did not added yet.

Internships Opportunities :

No, they do not, we had to arrange the internship in industry from ourself only. The Training the placement officer in years 2001-2005 did not have that much contacts who can help us with that.

Placement Experience :

It was good, in my batch almost everyone got job from college itself. There were many companies like Accenture, Infosys, TCS hired freshers from our college in year of 2005, On the top of that as there are many small software companies in Chandigarh, they also hired few freshers from college.

College Events :

There are few events happen every year. e.g. Athlete meets, Annual cultural events and science fairs. I totally can recall few events like Panache 2003 and 2004, where College invited Punjabi Singers to perform and it was very energetic. there were many inter college cultural competition held in that.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, They do not offer any loan facility, for Scholarship, I am not aware as I did not got any.

Alumni/Alumna :

Not much helpful alumni network, I tried to register my self on the portal but never heard anything back. I am amazed in the time of Social network, they lack of that.

Exam Structure :

Exam structure is of Punjab Technical University Jallandhar. Along with semester exams there are session exams which cover part of the syllabus. For practical subjects they take internal and external Vivas. For External vivas faculty from other colleges visit the college.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Placement Experience:

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Placement Experience:

If we have skills, we get placements here, and if we work hard, we can get up to 50 LPA. Most of the renowned companies will come for placements, for example, Microsoft, Google, etc. TCS will give a high number of job offers, but the package is low. It all depends on you and your skills. The placement percentage in Computer Science is about 80-90%, and the average is 7 LPA.

Placement Experience:

There were many companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Google, Wal-Mart and more than 800+ companies visited for campus placements. I will prefer for startup if I will not get the desirable placements offers.

Placement Experience:

CT University has best placement record till now. They have 400+ recruitment partners. Companies like byjus, paytm, infosys, max healthcare and capgemini have already recruited students from CT University. CTU also have corporate resource centre in ct university , to provide ample opportunities for full time internships, on job trainings and placement in reputed companies. Also, students are doing internships with stipends within the university also as CTU ambassadors along wwith theirt study, so this should be a good enough proof of the quality of the skills being imparted to the students.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. A lot of companies like PayTm, Maruti Suzuki, etc come every year and recruit a large number of students. The placement process is of several rounds and tests. There is an Entrepreneur Cell that helps students enhance their skills.
