Entrance Preview :
UP engineering entrance Exam, got rank of 4500, although as ours was first batch so admissions were without any exam, I was like first come first serve.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Useless, its was too tough & still I can not make any sense of it. I mainly studied my 11 & 12 grade stuff in first year. The curriculum at that had no relevance to any newer technology & all that was thought was like garbage. As we progressed some changes were done in the course hope its better now.
Internships Opportunities :
No internship was provided, I did it on my own once at Rockwell Automation & then at Idea cellular. Both time it was for 6 weeks of free training only.
Placement Experience :
No placement or job opportunities offered to us. Most offers came for MBA student for the position of sales person. As I was good in English communication I was selected for one job but the offer never came in. So the only interview I attended turned out to be fake.
College Events :
Our college used to lots of events & that was the best part in my college. Every now & then some event was organised which even had once Ram Katha by a famous pandit. As we were part of Rotary group we used organise & participate in lots of events related to public awareness organised under Rotary club of Meerut.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Yes, there was state run scholarship for schedule caste & minority people. There was also one scholarship if the yearly income of any family was less than a designated amount. Apart from these state run scholarships there were many scholarships for top academics & best performances in other activities.
Alumni/Alumna :
We have an yearly alumni meet for which we get the invite but no alumni network is maintained. It is mainly driven by few faculties individually but no college level alumni is there.
Exam Structure :
As per UPTECH, we had lots of fun initially, as the exam centre was own college, some faculties helped in ensuring we get good marks & pass out, some were very strict, the things changed when the exam centre got shifted to other college. We used to travel a lot to reach the other college through our own convince only. No support from college was provided.
Faculty :
3rd grade, we never had full faculty in an year. We were always dependent on substitute teachers. Our whole class flunked in Electronics paper as all that was thought whole year had no reference to the syllabus & only local author books were referred were as paper came from foreign authors books.
