Remarks :
Patna University (PU) is one of the best universities in Bihar. Seeking admission to this college was not very difficult. We just had to fill the admission form. Admission was provided on a merit basis. The minimum mark required to fulfill the criteria was 60% in the 12th board exams. There was no minimum age as such. I did not avail any quota while taking admission here. I did not apply for any other college as I was pretty sure that I would get admission here being a 95% holder. The campus and the crowd are really good here. Teachers and the faculty are very understanding and supportive. Overall, it's a really good college although the infrastructure is not so good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose BA Hons. because I have a deep interest in this field. I want to clear UPSC which is the sole objective of my life and taking BA Hons. at this stage would surely help in achieving my goal. It's a very popular course in today's world and the demand is also high. The exams are really simple. We get our admit card a few days before exams and we just need to go to the college and give our exams. It isn't very difficult to pass.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee of the college is very low and nominal. It's 7,600 for one year and the fee for the whole course is around 20,000. It's quite affordable for a larger segment of people. Moreover, the reserved and weaker section of students enjoys some benefits of fee reduction. There are various scholarships provided by the college to the students who are unable to pay the fee due to some genuine problems.
Campus Life :
Patna University organizes different workshops on the revision of three-year degree courses as per the UGC-NET syllabi. It also organizes Annual Cultural Fest every year such as ‘Spandan’, ‘Tarang’, ‘Jhankar’, ‘Euphoria’ etc as held in Central Universities, NITs and IITs. There are different social groups and clubs for the students that are run by the students. The basketball team of the college is among top 3 teams among the teams of other colleges.
