Entrance Preview :

For admission into my college, I had to undergo an entrance exam that was a combination of both Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test. I was ranked 14th from a list of 300 students.

Placement Experience :

Our placement programmes are limited only to a few good departments. Though, we are not discouraged to join departments according to our interests. We are also provided with contacts that we can talk to for job opportunities on our own. This helps us attain god communication skills and contacts.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible for the students of Army background. We get enough time to pay the fees which generally is in the month of June. The institutional fee is 90,000 to 1,20,000 and the hostel and mess fees is 30,000 each.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our college provides AGIF scholarship to 15 students who get the top marks. We are provided with 40,000 INR. Students recieve this scholarship on a yearly basis in the month of MAY.

Campus Life :

The gender ratio is a little imbalanced. Being a fashion college the ratio of boys to girls is 1:2. We also have a lot of diversity with students coming in from different states of India. The reason for this is because we are an Army Institute.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, the alumni and seniors are very helpful for the placement and job opportunities. We can contact the seniors for any helpful such as textbooks and any doubts we have for our exams.

Exam Structure :

Our exams are taken very seriously. They are conducted in each semester in the months of May and November. We are tested on our knowledge of the curriculum. The exams are generally simple and not at all hectic. We can excel at this exam with just listening in classes and skimming through the textbook the day before the exam.

Admission :

I got all the details by researching online. But I had heard about this institute from one of the alumni's who informed me about the courses offered and the impressive faculty. I submitted the form by March 15th 2014 and selected the center as Army Public School, Bangalore. i wrote the exam on 15th April, 2014.

Faculty :

My faculty operates as a unit that assesses each student, his or her performance in college and outside, their relationship with the college, the faculty, fellow batch mates, seniors, juniors, and each other. This gives them a personalised view of each student and they are able to provide particular time and effort on each student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course - BSC in Anaesthesia technology and operation theatre technology which I'm pursuing has a good career option, best way to help people if you can't clear NEET, you'll get specialization in both anaesthesia and operation theatre which is good for you future placements. The curriculum is very knowledgeable as it is too hard and lenghty for average students. The exams are undoubtedly hard but is 100% from your syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course's syllabus is very well structured. Each semester you learn a new topic and have practicals every week based on what you learnt in theory. Biotechnology is a very vast field so by the end of the course you have learnt a bit about the main areas of the subject which helps you choose the field for your higher studies. Exams are conducted twice per semester, mid sem and end sem. In between, there are internals or activities basically which will taken into account for your finals marks.

Placement Experience:

The students of the final semester are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Omega Healthcare, Biocon, Cognizant, TCS, Accenture, Magic Bus, Intelizign, Patanjali Health Institute, etc. The highest package my seniors were offered was around 15L/year and the average was 8L/year. Almost 60-80% of students got the campus placements. I want to get my master's degree completed and then try for Ph.D. and get into the research field.

Placement Experience:

There is a mandatory internship for students during the summer break after their 1st year of MSc. BASE Placement Cell (BPC) is responsible to look after the placement and internship opportunities for the students. However, the students need to opt-in for their service or they can handle it on their own. The first batch will graduate in the year 2022 and hence there is no placement record for the same.
