Rahul Sharma's Review On Giani Zail Singh Campus College Of Engineering And Technology - [GZSCCET], Bathinda

Entrance Preview :

I took AIEEE in 2007, i.e. national level entrance exam for admission in engineering. The admission was based on the AIEEE rank that got me admission in the college. I took Textile Engineering branch because of the good faculty and 100% placement in Textile department in comparison to other branches.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum includes all the subjects and labs that is needed for becoming a Textile engineer. Curriculum has all four divisions in Textile, that are Spinning, weaving, processing, garmenting. And curriculum also teaches about technical textiles. Practical knowledge is also given in labs.

Placement Experience :

If the student is well capable and passionate, then it is sure he will get placed. In Textile department placement is 100%. Good companies have offered also above 9 lacs package. In other branches placement record is slightly low. Alumni of every stream of our college are placed in good companies and are at very good job profile.

College Events :

Every branch has their own technical fest. Only "Tarannum " fest is of college level. Everybody in college is open to participate. There are lot of events that are cultural and technical. Students also participate in other colleges cultural and technical fest, like in IITs, NITs etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No , I was not offered any scholarship, because I didn't need any of that. But the college helped needy students, if they come from EWS background or if they have some family problem. College also offers scholarship for students excellent is studies.

Campus Life :

Campus life in our college is good. I enjoyed my 4 years with good memories to remember. I make good friends there, I met good faculty that teach me lessons in life. Boys are quite more than that of girls because of mechanical and civil branches. Students can learn many things there other than studies also, like cultural activities, sports, practical knowledge and leadership, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are good. There are 4 hostels for boys (seperate for each year) and 1 hostel for girls. Safety is good in hostel. For 1st and 2nd year students, 3 students are accommodated in one room. There is enough space in rooms that 3 students can easily live or study in that room.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our college network is not so big as that of IITs and NITs but wherever and whenever our alumni has meet, they have helped every time of our college student. Our seniors are very helpful in every field, whether it is in studies, events, hostel life, sports, etc.

Exam Structure :

Exam structure includes, 3 sessionals, and 1 university exam in a semester. Engineering has 8 semesters. After fourth semester student have to do for 2 months summer training in respective company related to subject. In final year one whole semester students have to do industrial training in respective company related to subject.

Faculty :

Faculty of our college is well qualified and up to the standards to teach students. All lecturers and professors are well experienced in teaching, and they know how to explain or teach any particular subject or topic. They give lectures on boards (black boards/white boards). Also they give lectures in A/V labs, when they have to explain on PowerPoint presentation.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Placement Experience:

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Placement Experience:

If we have skills, we get placements here, and if we work hard, we can get up to 50 LPA. Most of the renowned companies will come for placements, for example, Microsoft, Google, etc. TCS will give a high number of job offers, but the package is low. It all depends on you and your skills. The placement percentage in Computer Science is about 80-90%, and the average is 7 LPA.

Placement Experience:

There were many companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Google, Wal-Mart and more than 800+ companies visited for campus placements. I will prefer for startup if I will not get the desirable placements offers.

Placement Experience:

CT University has best placement record till now. They have 400+ recruitment partners. Companies like byjus, paytm, infosys, max healthcare and capgemini have already recruited students from CT University. CTU also have corporate resource centre in ct university , to provide ample opportunities for full time internships, on job trainings and placement in reputed companies. Also, students are doing internships with stipends within the university also as CTU ambassadors along wwith theirt study, so this should be a good enough proof of the quality of the skills being imparted to the students.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. A lot of companies like PayTm, Maruti Suzuki, etc come every year and recruit a large number of students. The placement process is of several rounds and tests. There is an Entrepreneur Cell that helps students enhance their skills.
