Entrance Preview :

Entrance exam is not required. It is based on Anna university counselling with cut off mark from 12th standard score. There are management quota seats also available.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure is planned as per the subjects and old questions asked in semester exams. There can be some improvement in practical learning. Course structure does not focus on research. It helps normal student to understand the logic and make him get through the exams.

Internships Opportunities :

Our college on its own doesn't provide internship. It will support student going on internships. Staffs will refer if any internships are available in other institutions.

Placement Experience :

Our college have excellent Placement and Job Opportunities. All esteemed MNCs approach us with On campus recruitment and select decent amount of candidates from each department. Since we belong to the Jeppiar group, we are eligible to attend OFF campus drives conducted at other Jeppiar institutions. This is a great advantage in our college. Students will avail more job opportunities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College offers and makes students avail all scholarships announced by the government. College can take steps to offer scholarship on its own. Minority Scholarship, BC,MBC,ST/SC scholarships are available. We have staffs in charge of it.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni meetings are initiated by department professors once in few years. There is no official groups for alumni organised by college. We as a group form facebook groups. Alumni gathering organised by students are not much encouraged. College can improvise in this.

Exam Structure :

Exams are conducted twice per semester. All exam mark sheets are post to student home and asked to review by their parents. We have lab periods which is itself a relaxation from theory classes. All periods are well structured and timetable is issues in every semester starting.

Admission :

I got admission through Anna University counselling. My cut off was 192.25. Based on the availability in ECE course, I chose this college as it is one among Jeppiar Institutions. My school senior was already studying there and I came to know about SRR through her. Anna University issued an acknowledgement letter with which I got admission in college after paying the annual fee.

Faculty :

Faculties are addressed in the staff room available on each floor of the building. They help in clearing doubt and will suggest us to refer relevant books from library. We have well facility library where books of famous authors are available. There are HOD for each department and they well administer staffs.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
