WBJEE, 24012. My sister studied in this college. The faculty of this college is good. So I opted for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum was very well organised. The first two semesters we had same syllabus for every students. From third semester on the specialisation begins. Subjects like Em Theory, Digital electronics, Solid state is introduced in our syllabus. Semester 5 has microprocessor introduced in the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities :
The College doesn't provide any internship. I did my internship personally. I did it on Indian railways. But college arrange a free summer training in techno india.
Placement Experience :
The placement is superb. Companies like tcs, webspider, capgemini, igate,etc has recruited in our college. The recruitment process begins from September every year. Nearly 15 and more companies come for recruitment. Recruitment process occurs in Kolkata. Mostly recruitment happens in techno india salt lake campus.
College Events :
There has been a lot of cultural programs held in our college. College fest is a great attraction for the students. Events start with college freshers. The second years give freshers to the first years. A lot of cultural programs held during this event. Next comes the technical fest. Here the intelligent students show their skills. Next comes the Cultural fest, where students give their best to outshine others.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is set by MAKAUT. The general fee is 40000 per semester. We had 8 semesters. So rs 3,20,000 is minimum to complete the course. This is not very expensive rather i would call it feasible. Their is also examination fees. Its rs 1000 per semester.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The College doesn't provide any scholarship for students. The university provides Tuition fee waiver(TFW) to students. Students are eligible only if their parents income is less than 2,50,000 per annum.
Campus Life :
Sports and other activities were very frequent in our college. We had cricket tournament and football tournament every year.Other sports like table tennis, carrom,etc were also organised. We had photography event during fest.College also participates in tournaments held in other colleges. The faculty also participates along with the students.
Alumni/Alumna :
There is a official alumni club. It is called Resonance. A technical as well as cultural fest was organised by the alumni members. The seniors are very helpful and friendly. There is no ragging in our college.
Exam Structure :
The lab is well equipped. The exam is organised as per norms. The guard is very strict during exam.The question paper is set by the university. The faculty gets very strict during the exam.
Admission :
After i secured my wbjee rank, I went through the process of admission. First of all I locked my college preference online through my computer. After locking, I went to Jadavpur salt lake campus to submit my documents. My seat was booked and I got the admission.
Faculty :
The faculty is good. They have always been the best part of our college. The ECE faculty is very friendly. They always try to understand the situation of every students' problem. They always look for the betterment of their students. Our HOD ma'am was one of the best teacher in our college.
