Life at KJSCE

Remarks :

I got admission in the college by CAP (Centralised Admission Process) after completing my diploma in Computer Engineering, I wanted admission to the Computer branch but because of the high cutoff I couldn't get It, so I took admission to IT branch instead. The counseling day (Orientation) was conducted after the admission process was completed. In the Orientation, the facilities gave us introductions about their subjects and the marking schemes for the exams etc.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In every semester, two In-semester examinations are conducted and IAs for the Internal assessment. So exams are conducted on monthly basis. The exams are based on only the syllabus and the self-learning topics in the syllabus. It is not so difficult to pass if you study accordingly.

Internships Opportunities :

I am currently working In an Internship that is provided by the college itself. This Internship is about working with flutter, since I am really new to flutter, it is a great experience to learn a new development framework and creating a real-time application with it. In the internship, they provide mentors to discuss any doubts.

Placement Experience :

In our college on average, 80-90% of students gets placed in good organizations after the course is finished. These placements are based on the individual performance in the placement interviews etc. I am currently working on a start-up and thinking of getting forward with it. If that startup works well, I won't be needing to apply for any job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship: EBC Financial Assistance: NA Stipend: NA The EBC scholarship is provided by the government to all the students who are having an income certificate and are domicile of Maharashtra. In addition, there is no financial assistance I am getting from the institute, but there is Somaiya Vidyavihar trust cares for the students who are not eligible to pay the whole fees or cannot afford the fees.

Campus Life :

There are so many social groups or committees in the college that are run by the students. Some of them are the fest committee i.e. Team Symphony, Datazen Council, team Rhapsody etc. All these committees are run by students themselves there is the assistance of faculties also provided from the college.

Placement is not that good. Overall the average placement is only about 4,00,000 per year. And campus placement are there but it won't provide you high paying jobs you'll have to do that on your own. So focus more on personal skills

As I am in second year I don't have that much of idea about the placement but there are very good placements for the printing and intc branch in this college. There I will see near they got the very good packages for this branches and along with CS IT branches they got 40 to 50 lakh packages. Also the college provides the interview sessions and the placement training programs in that the experts come and give training to the students for placement programs. There are various students that are placed in with us countries like Japan Germany's and they are working in ITI and various professions.

I have also got nearly three placements. Currently, I am working in Accenture with a package of 6.5 lpa. I have experienced a decent placement process which was very systematic in that every or each of the students can get placed. For placements, SKNCOE is the best in Maharashtra.
