Remarks :

MDU is the leading university in Haryana having an A+ grade from NAAC 2019 and stands at 76th by MHRD NIRF ranking in 2020. Not only this its CGPA is 3.44 which is more than many central and state universities. The admission process is very transparent and student-friendly. Every new update regarding the Admission process is timely forwarded to the candidates. From form filling to fee payment everything is so easy as a candidate can individual proceeds the things without going to any cyber cafe. Even MDU provides various types of scholarships to needy students considering students of an undergraduate to a doctoral programme.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am pursuing Ph.D. here as it is the best leading state university in Haryana having a vast number of research facilities having a good h-index and good quality as well as quantity of research papers published in Scopus indexed journals. It provides URS to the students who are Non-JRF but want some financial assistance to pursue their research. Faculty members are good and understand the student's issue and try to resolve them. But sometimes it takes more time than expected. All the faculties are highly qualified having many years of post-doctoral experience as well as many good counts of quality research papers. Exams held as per the schedule prescribed in the academic calendar but due to unavoidable situations as a pandemic, some delays are not so shocking or else. Question papers are from the syllabus. It depends upon the students how they are preparing considering the syllabus.

Placement Experience :

University has its own Career and placement cell which provides the students from undergraduate courses to doctoral courses to participate in placements held in the university. Companies situated in Haryana, as well as some multinational companies, arrived there like Amazon, Flipkart, Accenture, Cipla. The highest package offered is 12 lacs and the lowest is 2.4 lacs as provided by one of the faculty of placement cell. The average percentage of students placed is 74%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is quite affordable. Not so expensive as it is a government university. Even SC/ST students get a 100% fee waiver following the rules & regulations. Various types of financial assistance are provided as well as students get benefitted from numerous scholarships provided under different chairs of institutions and departments. Career counseling and guidance cell, as well as placement cell, also exists which helps the students to get the right direction for their careers and putting them on the right job.

Campus Life :

University has many auditoriums having different strength capacities on which monthly basis different programs are going. Even they have a separate hall for capacity building of research scholars. The campus is so green and clean and also awarded as the best-cleaned campus among Indian universities by MHRD. The Library system is online. One can search books on opac and then just bring them from that rack, no need to move here and there for searching books. Many journals and softwares are subscribed which scholars used for their research projects. Many sports, as well as extracurricular activities, happens on daily basis.

Interview Experience :

The interview process happens after the entrance test or for exempted candidates. They have to face a panel of 4-6 expert facilities in that particular domain. They ask questions about the subject related to the course or ask for specialization then ask from that specialized field.

Placement Experience:

There is a number of Multi National Companies who provide employment opportunities . 90 per cent stufents get placements. The companies give good package. The highest package goes above 10 Lakhs. The companies are like accenture, IBM.

Experience of pursuing research from CDLU, Sirsa

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of my interest in the research field. The professors can take up to 8 students under their guidance. The minimum qualification is a master's degree in the required field. The students who have qualified NET, are exempted from the entrance test and they can directly appear for the interview. The first step in this course is the completion of coursework. You have to complete the course work within 1 year of admission. The next step is to submit your synopsis. This is the most crucial phase and you should pursue your area of interest while selecting and finalizing your research topic. You don't have to give terminal exams in this course. There is the conduction of halfyearly progress report presentations after that. So, just pursue your research and work with diligence to get the results.
