PROS of joining IMT-N - ROI is pretty good as the average placements goes around 7-9LPA. - Student driven campus and campus life. - Strong alumni network of IMT. - Being part of committees, clubs, forums and student ventures helps in overall personality development. - Faculties and academics are at par with current industry requirements. Course Curriculum Overview :
- I chose PGDM Marketing as I'm interested in that domain. Also I have work experience in sales & marketing field. - Faculty: Student ratio : 1:15. - Most of the faculty are PhD holders and have years of teaching experience with top b-schools. - Teaching method is usually made interactive & case-based approach is followed. - Term exams were held every 2-3 months duration. A combination of AOL & End term made the exam level moderate on the difficulty parameter.
Internships Opportunities :
For Batch 2019-21. - Top companies such as CRISIL, Jio Studios, Bata, Haldiram's, The Hackett Group, IDBI Federal, Zomato offered internships. - Due to the ongoing pandemic scenario, some companies did not offer stipends. - Prominent Profiles as an Intern were in - Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Business Analyst, HR, etc. - Highest Stipend = Rs. 50,000 p.m. - Average Stipend = Rs. 14,000 p.m.
Placement Experience :
- Students become eligible for campus placements from Term IV i.e. when they enter into the second year of MBA based on their CGPA till Term III. - Regular recruiters: Schneider Electric, Deloitte, Crisil, KPMG, Berger Paints, etc. - New recruiters: Tech Mahindra, Scaler, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Practo, Adani Wilmar, etc. - Number of companies visited = 90+ - Highest package = 16 LPA, Average package = 7.86 LPA - Percentage of students getting placements = 90%.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
- Total fees for 2 years including accommodation, food, etc is 12.10L . - Applicants scoring 90% -tile or more in CAT/XAT are entitled for Merit scholarship. There are other scholarships for female candidates, EWS category and mid-program one for 2nd year students. - Placement Committee makes no stone unturned in bringing the best of the companies to campus for internship opportunities (with stipend too).
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is the most amazing experience of IMT Nagpur. The lush green campus, the sports facilities, and the infrastructure are really spectacular. ANNUAL FEST Milestone35: two-day National-level Cultural event (January) Melange: two-day annual Alumni meet (September) Drishticone: two-day CxO level Management Conclave by Corporate Interaction Committee (January) Ranbhoomi: two-day annual Sports meet (September) TECH FEST Concord: three-day annual national Management Olympics (January) Learning Resource Center(LRC), a dedicated library facility, has a rich collection of books, journals, e-journals, corporate and industry information, and many research databases. All classrooms have AC, tiered seating arrangements, and projectors. Outdoor Sports facilities - football ground, cricket pitch, volleyball court, basketball court, lawn tennis ground, badminton court. Indoor sports - carrom board, chess & table tennis, Gymnasium. Clubs- Toastmasters, Zimfonia- music club.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are provided on a twin-sharing basis and single occupancy depending upon the need. Facilities- personal study table, chair, cupboard, cozy bed, common bathroom, hot water, etc. The meal quality is pretty decent as we get nutritious food available throughout the entire week. Facilities- separate floor for veg and non-veg dining, kitchen with modern steam cooking, bakery, ice-cream making unit, RO water, etc. Since IMT Nagpur is a fully residential campus, staying in the hostel is mandatory for all the students.
Interview Experience :
I faced group exercise and personal interview. Group Exercise: Creating a campaign poster to solve a national level socio-environmental issue. Interview questions: Work experience related, general awareness, current affairs, hobbies, why MBA and why IMT. Selection criteria: entrance exam score, past academics, work-experience , group exercise & PI and academic diversity. Preparation for rounds: Going through current affairs and discussing with friends, keeping thorough knowledge about my profile and work-ex.
