Entrance Preview :

I didnt apply for the entrance test for my course. i opted for the college as a reference from other seniors.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course which i had applied for was psychology, english and sociology. i preferred psychology and english greatly to sociology. in psychology we mainly dealt with clinical nature of subject as the main and a common course. however in the second year the course was divided further to the student's preference of social and industrial, of which i chose industrial. in english, we dealt with the different periods of english literature and then by toward the end we learnt about the different influences and cultural diversification of literature itself. in sociology we mainly dealt with the idea of how society came to be, how it developed and what are the various ideas of an ideal society.

Internships Opportunities :

I dint not apply for any internship as such except for volunteer-work for an ngo, as i was looking for a job in govt service. however there were many internship offers for the students. some of my friends got into infosys, while some into hcl. i cannot remember much but there were lots of career-melas held in the college.

Placement Experience :

As started earlier i have got a very little idea on the placements as i wasnt interested. however i heard my friend who got into infosys earned a stipend of around 60k per month and she was a brilliant student as well.

College Events :

There are a lot of events which are held every year. celebrities often frequent the venues and also students get chance to model and feature in magazines and ads, such as seventeen. the union hold this events and i was a part of it. there is rhapsody, college week (which would be named differently every year and would be feature in every lifestyle magazines and papers), also many other in-collegeand inter-collegiate level competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees are feasible when compare to other colleges in bangalore. My admission fee was around 16k in the first year to which some amount was added for exam registration, while it decreased to around 13k in the last year. other fees may be added now.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are alot i heard of which i havent applied for so i could help you with that information. But people who are interested may ask the reception or keep watch of the notice board for any notifications.

Campus Life :

Everything is awesome there. there is sports(which are state level), music and dance-both classical and contemporary, fine-art (which is newly introduced, sadly not in my time), and many more. you can find alot of people from different ethnicity there. i can say that cause i am from northeast. foreign students are also a part of the community. and the college environment is favorable to every students. the different department cooperate with each other.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel seats are very few. however there are many pgs and hostels around the area, koramangal. and they are completely safe for girls(as it is a girls' college). these may range from 6000-8000. about the food, there are also alot of cafes, restuarants and

Alumni/Alumna :

Strong communications. i am still in touch with my teachers and all my friends. the college also holds alumni meet every year. the seniors help the juniors to facilitate the college lively culture.

Exam Structure :

Exams are held as per the six semester system. the college is autonomous to the bangalore university and hold its own exam patterns. They are rather strict about the exams and if there is any problem regarding you not being able to attend the exam you may

Faculty :

The faculty were the best. they were cooperative and would be of any help to the students if they needed help. even though they were strict (they are meant to be) they are always around to assist and discuss. the environment was friendly as such the stude

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester onwards, the placement registration starts and the students can opt for placements if they want to. Accenture, De Shaw, TopHire, JP Morgan Chase & co, Kingfish etc are a few names of the companies that visited for students from BA Economics honours. The highest package is 7 LPA. Average is around 4.5-5 LPA. It's completely based on the students' performance that they get selected. 15-20% of the students get placed.

Placement Experience:

Students of the 5th and 6th semesters are eligible for campus selection. Packages upto 4.5 lakhs per annum. 70% is a necessity to get placed in well established companies with good package. I'm planning on continuing in the same institution for my higher studies.

Remarks:

The name of it. The exposure of it. And this combination of the course is very interesting. And very fundamental. It's a prestigious institution. And the location is also good. That's all I want to say

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about it. There is a lot of placement opportunity actually, atleast that is what I have heard. Then again, it is very depending on the course. My course had placement from Reuters and Goldman Sachs. Mainly buisness courses have excellent placement.
