Tvareta T's Review On Amrita School Of Business - [ASB], Coimbatore

Remarks :

Amrita is my dream college. The appearance of the college attracted me more. Though I haven't stepped inside, I long for it. Coming to the curriculum part, education was much based on practical problems than theoretical facts. Never did our college wait for the pandemic to get over to start the admission or the classes. They quickly adapted to the online mode and we too were pulled. I personally think it is really appreciable. They were also keen on providing many opportunities for internships in this online mode. I had my interview during to pandemic on 25 th July 2020 and the results were announced on 26 th July 2020. They were very fast in processing it. If it was in offline mode, we would have learned and explored more.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Management attracted me more during my UG. I studied biotechnology where I did my project on drug delivery. While examining More I wanted to know how it was being processed and given to the people. That made me do my MBA. The faculties are highly qualified. We have a trimester pattern where we have our semester once in three months. Being an online class, it was a bit hard to concentrate but later we had to do that as we didn't have any other option.

Internships Opportunities :

Britannia, Shriram finance, Blitz, KIMS health, Social Mantra, Grassroots LLP, Blue Star, Biz games, Manjushree Technopark private limited, Cargomar private limited, AMFAH group, Mobiush Knowledge groups, Air Asia. We have several companies for marketing, finance and Operations. Nearly 85% of the students have got the internship.

Placement Experience :

We are eligible to attend the campus placements from the second year ( FOURTH SEMESTER). As I am in my first year, we have our internship for three months. As for the last batch, mostly all the students were placed during the first six months.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost of the study is 6 lakh per year and for two years it's 12 lakhs. We didn't have a fee hike. Currently, I am pursuing my first year. I am yet to go for placements. We are currently looking for internships.

Campus Life :

As it is in online mode, we are given access to the e-Library for reference. I didn't get a chance to visit my campus. So the things are not completed as of now. As it is completely based on the online mode we always have network issues and there is not much interaction among our friends. We do conduct talks and management-related speeches once or twice a month.

Hostel Facilities :

We are currently in the online mode( second semester ). We haven't seen them. We may go for the next semester. All the meals provided all vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are not allowed inside the campus.

Interview Experience :

The GD/ PI interview. I was on online mode. I was asked to talk about the topic " Me too" for the group discussion and About the Olympics. It also includes my UG degree, my UG percentage, and my final year projects. I prepared all the current topics and also about the COVID situation in the world. The interview was about for half an hour and the results were announced the very next day.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good on this campus. We have had so many big companies to recruit from our college. average salary package to our seniors was around 7-8 LPA. The highest was 16LPA if I remember. Our batch had so many zero selects after the company attended because the election time was nearing and the market was dull. But they will try their maximum to get everyone placed.

Placement Experience:

We are spending so much money to get placed right? so yeah placements are good with 90% of students getting placed. Many companies come and hire students with an average salary of 4.5 lacs. The lowest can go till 2 lacs but unless you are in the college for fun you will not get a such a low salary.

Admission:

No, my admission was based on my entrance exam scores, and they also asked if I had any previous work experience. The entrance exam was difficult to pass; I passed on my second attempt after studying online.

Remarks:

The reason for pursuing MBA program from this college is its tuition fee which is too low. Inspite of low fee, the facilities provided here and the on campus placement record. Post checking the official website I registered myself and filled the application form and paid the application fee firstly. Further, my score in undergraduate and TANCET exam was considered for enrolling me at this college.

Placement Experience:

Around 90% placement is recorded every year in our college. The top recruiters who have tie-up with our college and make a visit for offering job are Zoho, Amazon, HCL, Deloitte,IBM, Tech Mahindra, SBI Life Insurance and others as well. Also, they offer handsome packages to the deserving ones. Though I have not been a part of placement drive. I had asked the details from my seniors and they said that the whole placement process is easy to clear. Most importantly, the highest package offered to our seniors was 6 LPA and the average package reached till 3 LPA.

Remarks:

I am very satisfied with the kind of teaching we received, thanks to our esteemed faculty. Course fee is very much budget-friendly and the infrastructure provided is exceptionally good. Library is humongous if not gigantic.

Admission:

The admission process is pretty straight forward. The MBA program offered by the college is a self-financed course and caters to the need of students who fail to appear for any entrance level management test. You have to just fill out the application form, with relevant details and present all the relevant documents.

I did my master's in business administration from the ARJ college. It was a very smooth journey, in terms of learning and becoming industry ready. The campus environment is vibrant and the infra is also good. I had a paradigm shift in terms of perspective towards the day to day life.
