Entrance Preview :
I was given an admission test in Nepal, and scored above average marks for which I was given a certain percentage tuition waiver scholarship.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B.Tech in CSE with the focus that I want to build something that would impact the society. The computer is based upon logic which I admire the most. The functionality of computer is just bounded by the thinking capacity of us.
Internships Opportunities :
No, the college did not provide any internship. The college faculty advised us to get the training from the institutes which could help in building the required skills for the industry but never encouraged getting to the real industry and valuate ourselves to what we need to build.
Placement Experience :
The college has put good effort for the placement, yet unable to bear much fruit. The college had no placement for the batch of our stream, but they provided assistance in finding a good placement. The packages were not so much encouraging and the companies that came with the offer were not providing promising career path ahead. Job opportunities is great in the big cities, where IT industry is thriving in exponential rate.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms were shared between 3-4 students per room. The hostel is spacious but the hostel building should be separate. The hostel should provide more facilities to the student in terms of sanitation. There should be attached toilets and bathrooms so that the student feels like they are treated matured respected individuals.
Exam Structure :
The exams and labs were placed at good intervals of about 2-3 days in between consecutive exams. The grading system of the university was very poor due to which students had a lot of backlogs. And due to the backlogs the re-appearance exams comes between the regular exams making overall schedule of exams very hectic.
Faculty :
The faculty members were qualified for the teaching the subject matter, as they had masters in the particular field but the teaching is limited to the course book, slideshows, and presentation. They were the ones who believed that getting a score in exams were more important than building the ideas to which we could use our understanding.
