Offers Value-based Integral Education for the benefit of the students.

Remarks :

•I chose this college above all others because I have always wanted myslef to study in such a pious and reputed institution as SSSIHL. This college has integrated value system which is a very unique feature of this institution. •The admission process starts right from the start of the year i.e. Jan. itself. You could either apply offline or fill the form online on its website and then later forward the application form alomg with relevant documents to the head office. Exam date is mentioned on the prospectus itself. We need to pass the written test which is very descriptive and also MCQ based. After having clear the test, we need to clear the interview as well. •This institution gives opportunity for the students to bring out the best from within. It not only cares about thw education part but also the educare part.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Studying B.Com.(Hons.) has always been my dream and I always wanted to pursue finance as my career. I like learning about money and other stuffs in the commerce field. The college has got the most qualified professors. The faculty of management abd commerce are the best ones who not look to clear the concepts but also tesch us how to tackle real life business solutions. 10:1 is the student:faculty ratio. They conduct many workshops and also ask us to make team presentations on various management topics.

Placement Experience :

No placements are offered for UG courses unfortunately. After the graduation, students have the option to continue higher studies which is either PG or MBA programme. Mostly students choose to study MBA or M.Com. because it increases our chances to excel in future.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Being an institution run by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, the fees is very low. Infact, the education and exam fees are paid by the trust. We need to pay the hostel fees for food & lodging purposes. Around ?25k/yr. is charged. Usually fir the UG courses, we don't have any placements in our institution but any help regarding this can be dealt with the alumni group.

Campus Life :

The campus is full of enthusiastic environment. It is wide-spread in the Kadugodi area of Bangalore. Our college has the annual fest conducted across the year and the final presentation done on the 2nd week of January in Prashanti Nilayam. Various competitions are held like cricket, badminton, football, basketball, table tennis, lawn tennis and many more and also cultural fests are held. You can also participate in debates, extempores, and various extra-curricular activities. The class room is very spacious and the labs also contain all the amenities to perform various experiments. All the campuses have got a library for them and its open on all days. It has wide range of books, novels, magazines.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is quite large and one room can accommodate 6 people. Every room have tubelights, fans and well ventilated windows. Beds and study tables are also an addition to the comfort of students. All the facilities are provided in the hostel. Its a bit strange that no digital devices or appliances are allowed into the hostel even for the UG students. But nevertheless, any emergency to use the phone or device can be dons through the hostel office. Bathrooms are maintained very well and hot water is also provided in the winters. Solar Cells were installed recently to generate power and utilise in various hostel activites. Hostel also has watershed management to save the rain water from getting wasted. RO water, laundry services also an addition to the facilities provided by the hostel. The hostel food is veey delicious and menu changes almost every day and they serve us with various varieties of cuisines and we also have special dinner on festivals.

Interview Experience :

If you are applying for UG course in this institution and you have cleared you entrancw test then, you got to face the personal interview as well. The questions asked in the interview is moderately tough. It is a 10 to 15 min. process. First, they ask you to introduce yourself and then they start with simplest of the questions. They will us if they already know about the institution and its workings. After this, they will start posing academic questions. They ask you about few general topics on the management. They may ask you anythimg about the current business affairs and also business deals in the recent past.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college timing are very much attractive for a student. The timings are from 10am - 4pm. Each period of 1hour and the students will also get a leisure period also. The exam are not so tough as well as not so easy but ok if you study and gain a bit of knowledge about thr subject. The areas of improvement is that the faculty should approach the student that if they understand the subject or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.com is a 3 Years course It has a Total of 6 semesters. I chose this course as my family is involved in business and I think B.com gives very good knowledge about managing a business. After this, I want to do an MBA. The faculty-student Ratio at Nalanda is 2:53 which is very good. All the faculty members are well qualified and have a lot of experience in teaching. They use mostly practical based teaching methods. Every semester we have 2 Midterm Examinations which are very easy to pass.
