Remarks :

Amity provides you with a great curriculum with the best and highly educated professors. It has a great infrastructure, it allows you to explore more with both national and international opportunities. Amity in every department organizes guest lectures which helps you to understand the subject. These were the good aspects but amity has only two bad aspects, one regarding attendance you have to have 75% attendance to sit for the externals otherwise you will not be allowed to give the examinations. And the other is amity curriculum provides more than 9 subjects every semester so if you come to amity you will have to study hard to get the degree. The admission process is in 2 ways one based on merit (12 class marks) and the other is based on an entrance test. The sole reason for preferring this college over others is their quality of exposure that they provide to their students. I selected this college because a lot of people near me suggested trying because of its reputation.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always wanted to be a lawyer so this course BBA LLB was the perfect option because I had commerce in my 12th standard. Amity provides you with a whole lot of faculty who is skilled at the same time friendly and easy to talk to. Faculty in amity changes every semester. No teacher is repeated for the same class of around 65 students. All the professors in amity hold a PhD degree with great teaching methods. All the exams are scheduled timely with the average level of difficulty.

Internships Opportunities :

College provides campus internships. All the big companies come to hire interns in amity. Being Khaitan and co, Luthra and Luthra etc. Students get as an intern over here. In a law internship, you do not get stipends. All the tasks like how to handle a case, etc. Is taught.

Placement Experience :

Last semester is when you start your placements. Almost all the big companies like the AZB partners, Khaitan and co., Luthra and Luthra etc. Visit the campus for recruiting. The highest package goes around 30 lakh to an average package being 14 lakh. 90% of students get placed depending on their scores and achievements. Going for higher studies is what my future plans are.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost to study at amity is a little bit expensive because they provide you with a lot of facilities. My course which was 5 years law was around 16 lakh rupees. College does provide financial assistance as well as a scholarship to meritorious students.

Campus Life :

Amity hosts a lot of fest youth fest being on the top which is conducted every year around February. Amity has one of the best libraries in Delhi NCR with almost every book journal available. Also, the central library of amity has the best infrastructure you could ask for. Classrooms are air-conditioned with great benches and with all modern technologies. Amity has all kinds of sports activities. A lot of clubs are run by students themselves (around 9-10 clubs in the law department)

Interview Experience :

As I took admission through my merit scores. I just had to face a personal interview round. Pi was not that difficult to crack. Questions like why do you want to join this college, why law etc questions were asked. It was a great and healthy experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was really very much interested in studying law and doing something good for society at large. Now, talking about the faculty of this college, then it's really nice and supportive along with great qualifications and practical experience. Student to faculty ratio is approximately 1:20 which is not very bad keeping in mind the sheer experience of faculty members. Term exams are conducted by Lucknow University as the college is affiliated to Lucknow University so it's totally the discretion of LU to take exams usually mid sems exams are conducted between Dec to Jan whereas end sems are conducted between July to August. The difficulty of exams is totally dependent on the paper setters of LU but they are not very tough if you studied well and for those who haven't studied well, it's the toughest.

Placement Experience:

Last year students are eligible for placements only. Top tier firms are available for standings, companies like Future Group, ICICI Bank, and such have made campus placements before. But as the college has been unaffiliated in the year 2018 placement companies have been diminished.

Remarks:

The only blot on my college's reputation is our dreadful administration. It is lazy and to a certain extent corrupt. They would come up with lame excuses when it came to their lack of work. The girls had really strict hostel timings while the boys had none. The administration looked at girls with a prejudiced eye. The college placements are another thing which needs improvement. Only a small percentage of our students secure placements through college which needs to improve.
