My college experience

Remarks :

I chose to attend Amrita School of Arts and Sciences because it offered BBA and the college was near my home. Amrita is also one of the top universities of India which made it my best option available. The admission process is done through merit. A person with a High School Diploma in any stream with 50% is eligible to apply for this college. The course which I study comes under Commerce and Management, which is a girls-only department, but there are other departments that are co-ed. I prefer this college over others as Amrita's certificate has a higher value compared to most of the colleges in Kerala. The college's official website (www.amrita.edu) was really helpful for me while I was applying for the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose BBA because I wanted to develop my management skills in order to pursue MBA as my major. The teachers of my colleagues are highly experienced and qualified in their respective fields. The student-faculty ratio of Amrita Campuses is 1:8, which is greater than the prescribed national norms. There are two semesters in each year, the semesters are known as odd semesters and even semesters. Odd semesters are shorter with a duration of four months and even semesters are longer with a duration of 6 months with semester exams at the end of each semester.

Placement Experience :

Many companies approach our college with placement opportunities. Famous companies like Deloitte, Infosys, TCS, SAP, etc. We have a placement cell known as the CIR (Corporate and Industry relations) department. Students become eligible for campus placement from the 4th semester onwards. The companies that approached our batch so far, for placements are Deloitte and Deshaw. The average package offered by the companies is usually 40K - 60K per month. Almost 65 - 90% of the students get placed every year. Plans after BBA - I am planning to get employed in any business field and gain experience of at least 2-3 years, then pursue my MBA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The BBA course with specialization in Logistics Management is a 3-year course with the fees structure as follows: 1st year - Rs. 82,500 2nd year - Rs. 76,500 3rd year - Rs. 76,500 the admission fee is Rs. 1000 which is payable during the time of admission. The Total fee of BBA Logistics Management of ASAS Kochi is Rs. 2,36,000.

Campus Life :

Life at the campus is pretty okay. The annual fest is known as Brahmasthanam which happens on 27th September, Mata Amritanandamayi's birthday. Then there are department fests. The fests are conducted during the month of February. There are five departments in our college and each department has its own fest. The tech fest is organized by the students of the computer science and IT department, then there is maths fest, Management fest, department of Visual Media's fest and finally English department's fest.

Other Applied Colleges

St. Teresa's College, Kochi | BMS

Because I wanted to persue BBA which was not offered by this college, so this was my back-up college since BMS is similar to BBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well to be honest I just randomly choose this one. However there are a lot of benefits to this course. We could get jobs in many companies. The course is easy. There are no suggestions from me because I can't think of things that's need to be improved. It's alright from now itself

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is often traditional and that doesn't influenced me much. I think the curriculum is needed to be improved and regular updation must be added to the curriculum. More practical oriented aspects of the subjects must be provided to the students. Also real time experience with the domain will increase the skill set of the students and make them fit for the industry.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a commerce student i have always been interested in accounting and business so it was a good idea to choose BBA. Course provides deep learning about the inner activities for starting and maintaining a enterprise. It would have better if they provide an internship along with the 3 year course so that students can get to know about the subject directly

Course Curriculum Overview:

Anyone who wants to persue their career in management or administration sectors they can chose for BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration ) program from ST. PAULS COLLEGE KALAMASSERY. Every course requires some hardworks and preparations. This improvise your capabilities for implementing the applications of several subjects which are taught in this program. The timings of the exams along with the semester lessons are quite managable. You will be providing greater job opportunities if you have the potential to continue the advanced versions of your programs which you will be gaining from your UG level.
