About my college

Remarks :

I can say its a bit flexible Inter college, rather than a B tech college. It used to have dress code (Blue jeans and white shirt mandatory, obviously these are also charged by college, and cannot take from outside), we cannot come outside the college once college starts, its strict 9:30 to 3:45 even you don't have classes, we cannot go out, we cannot sit in outside the college to chill out, trees are just to watch, lawn in front of the college is show purpose, and students cannot spend time in it.

Entrance Preview :

I have joined this college(2009-2013) with EMCET - 2009 entrance and I scored a rank of 18000 (may be not so decent enough), I mainly joined this college because its a NBA accredited (only for few courses, ECE is one among them) and the officially stated college established year in Hyderabad is 2001, but in 2001 college is established some other district, and in 2006 it got shifted to Hyderabad.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Its same as all other corporate colleges, which mainly stress on marks, good enough to complete syllabus in time, not much research activities taken by college, but they are open to students interest if any one wants to perform any research. They usually not allow students to do academic projects outside on their own or by taking some help from third party institutes, they will restrict students to do project with management prescribed institution and with in the college only, this may have 2 reasons, one is management may think of the quality of the project, and may be financially it may fetch college to earn some money from the institute which come to college.

Internships Opportunities :

College will not provide any internship specially, it will provide what government usually give to under privileged students to uplift them.

Placement Experience :

As I mentioned earlier the college is same as many corporate colleges, and its same in terms of placements too not many MNC's will come for placement drives, usually small companies will come, and in them also majority are BPO's and Tech support. But one thing I want to specify is , the college will give good exposure of interview skills, it will conduct interview skills training sessions(obviously these are also charged :P ) these skills will help students to crack interviews, may be not on campus, but sure by off campus.

College Events :

Very rare cultural activities, technical fest will be there once per year, and coming to sports, we can play sports only after college hours, or before college starts its day not many tournaments are conducted, even tournaments are there, it is applicable to only students who play games, and for remaining students, classes will go as-usual.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Govt specified fee structure is implemented for yearly academics , for exam fees and supply fees they will be charged more than university specified, for interview skills training, projects and other activities obviously we need to pay fees, and there is no chance of opting on our interest, these are mandatory.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am not sure college will specially provide loan and scholarship, I will implement which ever is government approved loans by banks.

Campus Life :

Majority of students comes from middle class and below middle class background, so environment will be common, good biodiversity, college is far from city, and greenery around college is big asset, when coming to gender ratio. it gives equal importance to girls and boys, in my 4 years of B tech, there is one ethnic day, one or two times there is robotics. don't expect every thing every year.

Hostel Facilities :

No college hostel, mess food is average. poor canteen, and when I studied, single canteen for 3 colleges (one pharmacy and 2 B.Tech) and very huge crowd because, there will be many students coming to canteen in same timings. in college timings if you don't have any class you cant go and sit in canteen, canteen is only for lunch and pre, post college hours.

Alumni/Alumna :

Thanks to social networking sites to keep us in touch with seniors and juniors. faculties, not only current but also with previous faculties too.

Exam Structure :

Exams and labs are conducted every week, and there is no question of cancelling these, are labs having all equipment's or not, are lab assistants are experienced or not are secondary :P but as far of my knowledge, labs and exams are better then may Engineering colleges.

Faculty :

I have noticed, not many experienced faculties, and usually many faculties switch to other colleges for every couple of years, when I have studied many junior faculties were taking classes who have completed their mtech recently or with btech with minimum or no teaching experience. The director of the college, samiruddin khan use to take classes once in a while for few sections, he is good at teaching, but managing organisation may not permit him to take this teaching completely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is rated as average . Because the relevance and comprehensiveness is not upto the level of students midset (like most of them). the curriculum and the speed of covering syllabus very fast which is not understandable for most of the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chosen computer science and engineering as my course. I enjoy coding and learning. This course gives the challenge to apply our ideas on real world applications. I choose skills over the marks because scoring only marks doesn't give a good placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course content provides sufficient exposure to required knowledge in the field though it is advisable to seek additional resources outside the course for better understanding. Coursework is not too hard and can be managed by the student.

Placement Experience:

Here, students can try for internships in the 3rd year. Some students who want to pursue higher education like MTech or MBA or PhD don't go for placements and internships. The placement rounds happen in the 4th year where many companies come to the campus, exams and interviews are conducted to shortlist students. For example, in my branch of civil engineering, the placement percentage last year was 50%, with the average package being around 14 lacs. Many companies come to the campus and the highest package last year was 90 lacs which was for a quant role. There are mostly companies coming for SDE and AI/ML roles. The number of companies coming for Consulting or product management roles is quite declining over the years. My plan is to try for placement in some Tech company, and work for some years then pursue a MBA.
