Remarks :
After my 12th result in the month of May, I applied for REAP(RAJASTHAN ENGINEERING ADMISSION PROCESS) which is Rajasthan an online platform for getting your desired college in Rajasthan, based on JEE and 12th examiner result. The result came in the month of July, but the college i got was a mess,, so I thought of applying to a college in my own city Udaipur. My all over grades weren't great but PCM result was about 70% and jee score(77.5 percentile)on basis of which I got admission in GITS Udaipur. The college is best for both day scholars and hostelers, due to bus facility all over the city. It takes around an hour bus journey to reach college everyday. The bus facility is 10,000 a year. The fees are also good apart from the rest of the engineering colleges that I compared (3,22,400) in the state. The curriculum syllabus is based on RTU kota, (do check online) the fees are however fluctuating each semester 43,100 1st sem, 2nd sem 36,500.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college lecturers are well versed with their respective fields and are really serving to the students for their issues in subjects. I preferred computer science engineering over the rest due to my likeness to the subject and also the branch has the highest placement record in terms of package and no. Of student selection. I don't like why they teach us about all the branches in the initial semesters but after coming into my stream, the management is quite helpful and always ace towards the development of the students in terms of technical and soft skill bases. Our stream head of department is Dr. Mayank Patel did his expertise in data analysis and Wireless technology, and many other faculty who could be searched on LinkedIn. Even in online classes the faculty their best to provide the best they can. There is hype for the toughness of RTU exams, while it's not the case it's just that all the papers are really lengthy. But could be cleared in the first go.
Placement Experience :
The college placement provides a package of avg 3.6lkhs/annum to a max of 16 lakhs/per annum. Companies like cognizant, TCL, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, etc, Also, many local companies come for placements. Placement cell tries their best to provide the students there deemed jobs. Interviews, exams, and tests, and preparations are to followed to crack the job placements. Companies have their requirements on students applying in the placement, some demand for 70 % aggregate in all semesters, no backs and rest, some also see the percentage in 12th as well. But students with skills and goals do get their job off or on campus and start their journey.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are divided for each semester basis. There was no *donation taken. The total course fee is 3,22,400 approx taken around the term. There are scholarships awarded to students on different bases based on merit, gender, cast, etc, Their fees waiver scheme on 12th percentage(80=> around 5000 or more), girls are also given fees privilege, on caste and other government schemes.
Campus Life :
For the branch which I have choosen the college its AI/VR labs, 2 computer labs, and the rest small labs in the branch. The campus stretches wide as it resides outside the city, it also has a library, sports room, NCC wings, smart classes, social welfare cell. There was a freshers party at the beginning and organizes annual fest each year. The campus has modern architecture. Sports fest is also organized in many fields. We have a human value cell, music group cell, literary cell, drama cell, etc.
