Student's Review On KES Shroff College Of Arts And Commerce, Mumbai

Remarks :

Infrastructure is good for self-finance course students. Time is a major factor, short distance. Approachable faculties. Good IT labs. Engaging with people of same caste (mainly gujratis). Friendly surrounding locality.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course and syllabus was moderately outdated. Certain subjects like Indian Ethos which included Mahabharata and Ramayana Concepts are certainly not of use in current challenging world. Industrial exposure is minimal and externally charged for Industrial Visits. Faculties are decent. Some are good and some are comparitively not so good. Avinash Sir, Miss Jaanvi, Miss Ganga are some of the best faculties in the course.

Internships Opportunities :

No, I have not opted for internship, but I faced interviews for personal development purposes. I externally work as a Freelancer.

Placement Experience :

The college starts placements for the students by the fall of second year of the course. Many companies around the town are invited to the college. HDFC, Tata Consultancy etc are among the various companies invited to campus. Alumni networking is not so good for job placements. The placement process consists of P.I and followed by a GD.

College Events :

Campus life was pretty decent. The environment is friendly as the students are not allowed to use mobile phones in the campus or in classrooms. The students are approachable. No sort of bullying occurs in the college. Many events are held throughout the year. Chakrawyuha is an event of college. Many other events are organised for students where speakers are invited from top companies.

Campus Life :

Campus infrastructure is very much good for self-finance students. The Bcom students still have to face situations in old building. The new building is centrally air conditioned. Four lifts are in the building of which 3 are for students. The entrance is very catchy and good to eyes. The college has its own turf in old building which is accessible to all course students. Gymkhana, Library are in old building. While new building consists of Court Room, Auditorium, Editing Rooms, Common Rooms for girls and boys separate. And the whole building is under cctv coverage.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements typically begin in the 5th or 6th semester, depending on the college's policy, with eligibility requirements like a minimum GPA. Companies like motilal , toothsii, and various startups often visit for recruitment. The number of offers made varies by college and course, with 30-40 companies visiting for a batch of 100 students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is somehow outdated I guess , they should change the curriculum it's my request as we are in 21st century and still the old syllabus is being taught , The problem is with the exam cgpa rule Seriously if I see them the curriculum is just for below basic level , the remaining amount has to be done ourselves with extra efforts of you want to grab higher Less theoretical more practical is my suggestion Difficulty is quite normal ...

Admission:

I got admission on the basis of the Meri list. Students don't need to give exams for the admission. College allow for the admission to to those students who get good score in graduation. And after that college faculties take interview of the students.

Placement Experience:

Placement provide by college with good salary. And also provide internship opportunities with good stipend. College not only concentrate to only provide placement but also concentrate to build the students for the field work so that nobody can beat our college students.
