Tanvi Priya's Review On Patna Women's College - [PWC], Patna

Remarks :

First of all, this was the only missionary women's college in the city, better from other women's colleges and autonomous under Patna University. And secondly, I don't want to pursue any course out of Bihar since I need to prepare for other professional courses which would have been hectic for me to manage.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculties are not so good, worst faculty (except for one or two) whereas curriculum and academics are manageable. Very young and less experienced faculty members. Not satisfied with them. Syllabus is quite good.

Placement Experience :

Didn't got a chance to experience that yet. I'm still in second year. But heard from seniors that placements here are quite good.

College Events :

Abided by strict rules and regulations, (some are unreasonable). Uniforms are needed to be wore daily. Restrictions on wearing casuals like wearing only salwaar and kurta with dupatta. No mobile phones inside the campus. We need to go outside tge campus just to make a call.

Campus Life :

Good enough. Open environment. Spacious classrooms (except for gallery classrooms). Satisfactory. Library infrastructure needs to be modified a bit and classes are required to be air conditioned and well ventilated.

No companies visit our campus directly for placements but still some companies come to our University directly and if you are lucky and talented enough , you may land a job there although the package being not very high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this course, there is stability like there are maximum chances to get a job in future. The faculty and student ratio is very good, in my college it is approx one teacher for every 15 students. Teachers are well-qualified, well-educated doctors! Exams are very tough to pass because the syllabus is so vast and it is very difficult to revise them.

Placement Experience:

Final-year students are eligible for the placement. Companies like HDFC, Vivo, etc. visit the campus and offer packages up to 16 lakh. The highest package offered was 16 lakh and the average package offered is 8 lakhs. Around 70% of students get placement from the campus. This college does not provide master's degree courses therefore I would be applying to some other college outside the city for my master's degree in the same course.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are not so good in our college. Most of the companies are from the marketing field like TCS, Infosys, Pinnacle, Shree Cement, Byjus, etc., or the coding field. Core companies don't come. Students are eligible for campus placement for 6 semesters. The avg. The package was 3 lakh and the highest package is 10 lakh. Students need 70% marks in the overall semester and there should not be any backlog. I will prepare for ES services after getting my degree

Admission:

First, I get admission through the entrance exam, followed by a private interview. After that, I shortlisted it. I got an entry with an excellent score. I was in the top ten. The interview process was very interesting.

Placement Experience:

My college placement cell is excellent, and Wipro, TCS, Honda, and Tech Mahindra come every year, and many students are selected every year. MCA and M.S. Stipends are very good in tech clothing, and the CTC will be around Rs 8 lakh after completing the course.
