Entrance Preview :

I have not chosen any entrance examination i picked this college through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission-TNEA almost all students who wants to do engineering go through TNEA councelling process. I had passion about Information Technology so I chosen B.Tech(IT) as my major. Why I picked that college because the quality of education and lab facilities provided are better than other colleges around Salem. The admission process is not a big deal. First of all you need to apply for TNEA then they will allot a specific time and date then they call you to Anna university, Chennai according to your 12th standard academic score. You have to be there at that date and time and you can choose any colleges within TamilNadu. Then you have to pay some advance amount and get some receipt and conformation letter. After that you have to show those things to the respective college you have chosen before joining in that college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was good but according to me the subjects like English, Chemistry, Physics, Maths on first two semesters are irrelevant to my course.

Placement Experience :

The placement was better while compared to other regional colleges mostly bpo and third tier companies came for placements and they offered 1 LPA to 2.5 LPA. In most of the case they offered within 2 LPA about less than half of the people who have graduated are placed in well known companies.I'm not sure about how many got placed.

College Events :

The college culturals and sports event were conducted on every year feb-mar the first graduation day was quite big honourable TN governor came to graduation day and distributed certificates to the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The hostel facilities are not good i travel daily from my home but my friends who stay on hostel told that the hostel were not good and the food was also worser but after reporting to management they appointed a new catering unit then the food was fair the academic fees structure was acceptable i rate hostel, food, fees as 6,7,8 out of 10 respectively.

Campus Life :

College life was like robotic wake up, pick the bus, listen to lecture, eat lunch, back to lecture then again hom but I enjoyed a lot with friends, cultural events, sports events and Industrial visit the gender ratio is female exceed male my college is very good when it comes to ragging there is no ragging there and all respect each other its safer to study according to me.

Alumni/Alumna :

Being a youngest college which was started on 2007 they laid a strong foundation for alumni network just in the previous year.

Faculty :

The faculty are not very good it ranged from poor to moderate. Some of the faculty members doesn't even know basic things and their teaching was so poor but some other managed to teach well too.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
