I took Common Engineering Entrance test for admission into Polytechnic(CEEP) now its POLYCET. I got 6083 rank which was better and i was even interested to do diploma. I had interests in all basic fields of engineering but electronics was the one that always fascinated me. So i opted for Electronics & Communication Engineering(ECE).
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Course of our Diploma in ECE was comprised of 6 semesters with a unique curriculum for a period of 5 years span. so our curriculum was C-05 which began in 2005 and continued till 2008( My admission year). Each semester had 6 subjects and 3 labs(max). Out of which 80% weightage was given to External exam and 20% was conducted thrice a semester as internals.
Internships Opportunities :
We basically had to undergo a project training or accomplish a project comprising a team of 5 or more with viva-voce. We had at that time accomplished an electronics (Embedded) project from Vijayawada.
Placement Experience :
There were hardly any placements in the College so we had to keep tracks on other colleges for any off-campus drives to try our luck. Even though there were few drives in the campus but chances for selection were like 1 in a million due to the huge variety of categories attending the same interview.
College Events :
We usually have an annual day celebration every year at the ending of the April Month for a little change and entertainment before the final exams and also for bidding Send off to the last batch students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The Course free is Comprised of Rs.15,500 which is fully reimbursed by the Govt. if the student manages to qualify the entrance test POLYCET and even meet the criteria specified by the Online Scholarship monitoring body usually known as EPASS.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College basically provides merit based scholarships which are usually awarded yearly during the College's Annual Ceremony.
