Course Curriculum Overview :
The syllabus for my course was extremely complex. While it's main thesis was psychology, I dealt with many science stream subjects such as Biology. The combination of such heavy duty subjects was not easy and a lot of dedication was required to study them at a higher level.
Placement Experience :
The college is highly recognized for its clinical psychology studies. After doing my PhD from the Institute, I managed to get job letters in India easily but, I decided on the acceptance letter I got from abroad.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee for the course is nominal. Being a government Institute, you never expect it to be too high. During my admissions also, this factor played a major role as I did not want to spend few more lakhs in my education that I had done before.
Campus Life :
There are many programs conducted for the masters students and the Institute celebrates few cultural events though, I did not bother to participate in any of them as my priorities were fixed. I did not want any distractions.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network is well connected. Many of the alumnis are in touch with the Institute and help the present students whenever possible. Moreover, they involve themselves during internship and placement drive once in a while.
Admission :
Bringing all the documents in arrangement, I looked up at the admission process understanding what is left to get together. So, the Institute wants your master's degree in Psychology from recognized university with minimum 55% marks and the registration will cost Rs. 2000/-. The admission process is on the basis of entrance examination. After which, only 15 students are selected.
Faculty :
While I was engrossed in doing my independent academic study, some professors such as Dr. Vibha Sharma were able to help me out a lot with my doubts and mistakes. With their support, the entire process did not seem overwhelming.
