Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is immensely vast. It focuses on different areas like Ancient India from Pre-History to the Mauryas, Medieval India : Political and Administrative Institutions, Historiography: Ancient and Medieval World, Modern India, Ancient India: Post-Mauryas to the Early Medieval Times, Medieval India: Society and Culture, Modern Historiography, Economic History of India, Medieval Deccan and Far South, Women in Modern India, Religious Traditions of India and many others.
Placement Experience :
The placement cell of the college organizes for various opportunities for the students, once they complete their post graduation degree. The job opportunities are plenty and hence, most of the students get placed.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The total tuition fee is Rs. 3,800 for one year, which has to be paid at the time of admission. The fee structure is feasible for every student, but if needed, the university also provides financial aid to the students.
Campus Life :
The department organizes for guest lectures, seminars, national conferences and workshops regularly. Other than that, the university organizes events like Film Screening, Rally occasions, public lectures and others.
Admission :
To secure admission to the course, you need at least 40% in your graduation. The college does not conduct any entrance examination or interview. Once you apply online, they select the students on the basis of merit.
Faculty :
The Head of the Department, Dr. Danish Moin, is immensely knowledgeable and has interests in Medieval Indian History with specialization in Numismatics. All the faculty members are amiable and known for being the most helpul towards their students.
