Remarks :

The university is one of the private state universities in Haryana. At first, it was a part of Maharishi Dayanand University. The institute works hard and builds itself into a best upcoming university.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The PG program is a bit more advanced structure of the UG syllabus. Each paper from the UG syllabus will be studied with a deep concept system covering all the areas of that paper. The practicals are highly efficient which will surely help you during your higher studies and research projects. The project should be done at the final semester. The curriculum invokes a great interest to learn new things.

Placement Experience :

There is a career guidance cell in IGU. The people of this committee keeps on training the students who opt for placements and guide us through the entire process. Now the placement record is quite low as the university have been started only a few years ago.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees for the PG program in zoology is low as compare with private colleges. The amount will be around ?.11,000 per year. The fees will include the amount for both theory and practical papers. The amount will change with subject to practical sessions.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

They say that there is a cell to support scholarship for economically backward students. But the cell is not so active and the scholarship applications are not reaching the institute. So not sure about the scholarship details.

Campus Life :

The university has strict regulations to safeguard the women. It is applicable to all teaching and non-teaching staffs as well as the students. The main aim is to completely avoid any kind of violence against women. The women cell and anti sexual harassment cell looks after this.

Hostel Facilities :

There is hostel inside the campus. The rooms are neat and provided with basic amenities. The rate for hostel accommodation will be around ?.7,000 - ?.8,000 per year. The mess provides a delicious diet to the students.

Admission :

The application is available in their official website www.igu.ac.in . The process of selection is based on your performance in the entrance and interview. The entrance is conducted by the Maharishi Dayanand University. Since I had a UG degree in zoology with 83% and a good score in entrance, I joined into this PG course at IGU.

Faculty :

All the staffs of the IGU are well qualified professionals. The way they teach us is not just a lecture session. It is like a travel into the presented concept. Our Abhay sir is really a down to earth person and all the faculties help us in academics. They never fail to encourage us in extra curricular activities.

Review on Learning experience at Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamuna Nagar.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is overall relevant. If we talk about building confidence in students, there are presentations conducted and also Extra curriculum activities activities are conducted regularly. Also, the teaching staff provides real-life examples to us which helps us to connect to the real world and understand very quickly. Students are made to work in the lab under good observance so that they can learn something on their own. The exams are not conducted timely which is due to the carelessness of the university, because of which the students have to suffer. The students who are in the last semester fail to get admission to the master's degree because of the late conduction of the semester exams by the university, which is according to me a big loss for the students trying to apply for higher education after B.pharmacy.

My honest review of my college after 1 year of experience.

Placement Experience:

After the complete of the 5th semester the students are eligible for placements. Companies like TCS, Deloitte, Microsoft, etc visited but there are very few offers provided. Highest package is around 35 lakhs per annum after I applied for this college and the average is around 3 lakhs per annum. Around 40% students gets placements. I might do my masters if I don't have my desired package

Student are eligible for campus placements as soon as they enter 6th sem.There are around 20 to 25 companies that visit for IT placements .The highest package that Offered was from Service now 42 LPA ,Commvault also offered 34 LPA,and Ecolobs offers around 10 LPA ,Zscaler offers 21 LPA last year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choose this course to become a Data Scientist and have lots of interest in computers. Faculty members are good but not more than because they are not doctorate. The way teaching of faculties is good. Faculties qualifications are only postgraduate only some of the teachers are doctorate. The way of teaching faculties is good. It is normal to pass the exams if you prepared well.

Placement Experience:

I am a BDS student so for us right after finishing our BDS we are eligible to practice ourselves. Now it is on you whether to go for MDS or not, or whether to move abroad for your practice, we have our internships in the 5th year where we are taught how to deal with patients in real life so our journey starts right from our internships, a lot of fresh Doctors who have passed out from this college are doing great in life. I have a clear set of thoughts in chronological sequence as to this would be my way forward which includes doing MDS and going for opening my own clinic after which I shall move abroad for my practice.
