Remarks :
The college atmosphere was great. Management was supportive as well.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It was a 3 year course comprising of 6 semesters. The study proved relevant to present day needs. Subjects like economics, tax help to understand the market conditions and management practices help to indentify and develop the skills required in future while running a successful business organisation.
Placement Experience :
There is a local industry named Trident group. The placements made by that company were available for commerce students and some of the students got hired in it. Once the students were taken into college placement at Chitkara University, Rajpura of Amazon.
College Events :
Sports day, cultural festival, debates on social issues like student bullying, women empowerment. In all these events the Deputy Commissioner of the City was present at Chief Guest. The practices and efforts put in for the successful conduct of these events are remarkable by everyone involved; management, teachers, instructors and students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure for entire course of three years was thirty-three thousand (33000). The college used to provide detailed fee slip mentioning different purposes for which the fee is being charged. The mode of fee payment was cash only and to avoid rush the college used to call the students of different departments each day.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I have not opted for any education loan. The scholarships were available for category candidates and the economically weaker students. For that purpose they needed to fill a form and provide category certificate or income certificate as per the need.
Campus Life :
The campus life is great. There is a big ground offering sports like volleyball, football, cricket, basketball and baseball. The athletic sports equipments are also available. There are abundant labs like chemicals labs, biology labs. The gender diversity is in the ratio of 60:40 in favor of guys.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is not available. Moreover it is not even required because majority of students are from local city and rest are from nearby villages for whom public transportation facilities are easily available during colleges hours.
Alumni/Alumna :
The college alumni was really helpful and supportive. They used to share their experience and pass on the skills they acquired in their learning years
Admission :
Admission was based on Class 12 marks. I always had keen interest in the field of business that's why to explore the business education i chose bachelor of commerce. The institution is best among all the other colleges in my city which was the reason behind my college preference.
Faculty :
The faculty was very good. All the teachers were experienced having decent skills that can make and understand the concepts well and clear. Moreover they used to present real life scenarios to make the students learn even the toughest concepts. Our faculty constituted of 10 teachers.
