Entrance Preview :
There was no entrance exam. I choose the college purely because my friends too were in it. The college was pretty famous in the city and was known for its participation in cultural events and festivals. Hence, decided to go for it and I'm glad I did.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum was followed as per the university guidelines. However, the college did follow it in a timely manner and completed it much before the final exams and provided ample time for revision.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship was available only for few students who had exceptional academic track. However, I believe it has now been extended to a larger group of students.
Placement Experience :
The placements were mediocre with mostly BPO jobs. However, a couple of good companies like Deloitte, Dell and ADP participated with packages from 2.5, 2.1 and 1.65 lakh rupees per annum respectively.
College Events :
The college did have celebrations like Annual day, fte, etc and also encouraged students to participate in various inter college competitions and also provided funds to enrich their talent. In our case, the college provided us funds to purchase music instruments.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees during 2007-10 was very reasonable and affordable. However, it was hiked post that by around 25-30%. We paid around Rs. 16, 000 per year on an average excluding books.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college did have scholarships for students with good academic record and facing financial hardship. I remember a friend of mine get a scholarship of around ?5000 per year by providing supporting documents proving the hardship and also few Catholic students got if they showed a letter from their church.
Campus Life :
The campus life was very exciting filled with lots of energy and positivity. The college did have students from various religion s and cultures and never discriminated any of them. The gender ratio was around 4:1 . 4 is the number of boys. As mentioned earlier the college did support us to participate in various events and competitions within the university and also across other universities within the region.
Faculty :
The faculty were very approachable and supportive. Though few of them were strict but, not rude. All the members were very competent and had strong hold on their core subjects and also coached students on topics which are slightly out of the syllabus. Never hesitated to clear doubts or answer questions asked by the students.
