Indian Institute of Forest Management

Remarks :

The college has considerably reduced the percentile criteria for admission that has led to mediocrity. Also the college is losing it's niche by giving non sectoral subjects more importance than the niche related subjects. No student goes unnoticed in the campus and so the individuality of students remains preserved.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college offers near to 100% of placement. It has both sector related and other core MBA subjects. The institute takes admission through CAT/XAT. Any percentile above 80 is good enough to secure a seat in the college. The admission process involves an interview & WAT round. There are 6-8 subjects in each trimester. The lecturers are some of the best brains of the industry. We have many IFS officers on deputation teaching us. All lecturers hold a PhD degree in their subjects and have subject related professional experience. Few teachers have become complacent in their attitude and teaching style and have not acclimatized to present day needs. Subjects are taught through class lectures, video/audio lectures, learning by trying approach through open learning lessons

Remarks:

The college campus is the best thing about the college. It is not a place to pursue management for those who want to jobs specific to marketing, HR or pure corporate. Although students passing from here also get into these sector but this is not for what IIFM is known for. It is much more beyond that. It believes in serving the society and nature for what it has given us.

Remarks:

The institution despite being an Indian institute has lost its sheen because of ignorance of the Central government. At current times, when the world is facing the serious issue of climate change and various externalities arising out of it, an IIFMite has a huge role to play and this can only happen when this is acknowledged by the center. The institution is goodThe gender just that the ignorance of some people has to lead to its false positioning in the market.

Remarks:

There are only good comments for our college not because I am the student of college but when I joined the college I came to know about how college has different hierarchy levels and how they initiate their work. Later on, we get the best knowledge from our faculties. They taught us very well and prepared us for next level. College alwys engage us in extra curricular activities other than academics like guest session, virtual stock market games, debates , group discussions, sports , cultural fests etc.
