It’s the best college right now in India for Computer Science

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good. It covers the basics and advance courses in computer science and gives the choice to students to choose subjects. It is research driven and the exams are conducted as per the professor’s interest. The courses have projects associated, so we get practical knowledge and makes us industry ready.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 300000 per year

Placement Experience :

The placements is great. All companies are ready to hire the graduates. They have excellent placement office and provide internships to almost everyone.

College Events :

There are not many events celebrated compared to other universities, but, we have a sports event called Spandan. This involves the current students and the alumni. There are no technical and cultural events. There is infinity event which is kind of cultural event but it’s within the campus itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees is expensive compared to IITs but very feasible in comparison to other private colleges. The college accepts direct deposits to the student’s unique account number from any bank. There are no additional charges to be paid to secure an admission. It is all transparent.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I got a scholarship from the university. It was merit based. There will be a interview conducted for the top 10 students and 5 will be selected. The interview is in general related to academics.

Campus Life :

It’s a very well maintained campus. The gender ratio is 3:2 with more boys. There is no sports grounds to be specific but the campus has a basketball and small football ground. The labs are the best. There are few labs related to machine learning and robotics. The clubs are not active.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, it is a must for everyone to stay in hostel. The rooms are spacious. It is sharing room for the first year and then on individual rooms. The fees for hostel is included in the college fee so no other burden for students.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, alumni network and seniors at every helpful in terms of sharing knowledge, referring to companies and guiding.

Admission :

In 2012 when I joined we were supposed to apply to college with AIEEE score ( now JEE mains). I opted this course because of the location advantage for CS. Since Banagalore is the IT hub in India, it was a no brainier. Other factors I considered were, Univeristy ranking, placements, salaries of alumni. Post applying, there were 3 rounds of short listing and the in every round, based on the score they shortlist your admission. We had to pay initial deposit to confirm our admission and then the procedure is to arrive at college with all required official documents on the day of joining.

Faculty :

They are all excellent. It’s usually 1 lecturer per course and they are in their mid 30s to 40s. They have PhD from reputed univeristy all across globe. They have relevant industry experience and have certifications. They have research publications and help us publish as well.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

Good teachers and Good college environment

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for internships and from 7th semester students are eligible to sit in placements many companies came for internships and placements. Here average package is around 4-7 LPA highest package offered is 22.4lpa. Here 93% of eligible students are placed in on campus placement drive.

Well it was a emerging glorious institution, so I chose it. Also it has good facilities with good experience of atleast 10 years in the field of education. The infrastructure of my university is excellent. It has all the facilities needed for the overall development of a student. Although it us situated little of the city, it is totally worth the travel.
