Remarks :
Overall a good college to get your education and management degree
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course was a combination of technical and non-technical (management) subjects which gave us an understanding and insights needed to work in a professional environment. It helped shaped our understandings and clearing the concepts that became founding pillars of my professional career
Placement Experience :
Yes, the placement assistance is good. I was a part of the placement committee and almost everyone from my batch was placed. We had companies like Intas, Emcure, Serum institute, Deustche bank, Lifecare innovations, Cipla, Brink aryas, etc coming into our campus and my batch mates getting placed.
College Events :
Freshers party, Farewell party, cultural programs being celebrated and we saw participation of around 50 students in these programs. The programs aimed at bringing unity and imparting a sense of celebration, team work and learning which became a very useful tool later for my professional life
Fee Structure And Facilities :
200000 at that time. Seemed fair, had to pay 50,000 each semester. No additional fee was required to be paid. Hostel fees, Canteen and Mess fees were extra based on the consumption. Overall a good fee structure, which most of the students could afford
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
None. No scholarship or education loan availed. Financial support was provided by my father at that point of time
Campus Life :
Equal gender ratios, student parties were being organised - freshers party and farewell party. there were no culture societies but cultural committee was made to overlook the annual function of the college. All in all a very conducive culture of my college. Enjoyed my time there.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, on double sharing. The facilities were okay and the mess food was also okay. We were in total 12 girls in one block and there 4 blocks like that in my campus. Boys hostel accommodation was different
Alumni/Alumna :
We were the first batch, so not any interaction with the alumni, but the faculties and the program coordinators were of great help in addressing any questions and doubts we had.
Admission :
I was a Science stream student and didnt wanted to held my self doing only some research in a lab environment. MIMA, at that time, was one of the few institutes which offered management degree in pharmaceutical biotechnology. This course gave me freedom to continue with my science background and explore the well available opportunities with pharmaceutical industry. Currently I am a working professional at a good position in one of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies of India
Faculty :
Each semester had 7-8 subjects with 4-5 lectures on weekdays and project work on Saturday. The faculty was a combination of well experienced industry professional who imparted us their practical experience and made us understand how the professional world works.
