Remarks :
I request to grow the canteen and maintain it and I also want university to focus on practical knowledge which is directly help students in future for job.
Course Curriculum Overview :
For the first year of students evey stream have similar subjects which are basic of all the subjects and 50% of course is based on 12th syllabus. Personally I like the exam pattern of 1st year. From starting of the lectures lecturer give us assignment and presentation to prepare. 100% are divided into two parts 70% and 30%. There are assignment, mid examination, attendence, presentation and internal vivas are include in 30% while, external exam is of 70marks. Exam pattern of external exam, there are 14 MCQs of 1 marks in question 1 and following Q-2,3,4,5 are descriptive questions. From the 2nd year exam pattern is changing.There is no change in 30% but there are all the descriptive questions in 70%.The passing marks are 12 out of 30 and 23 out of 70.It's mandatory to pass in both.
Placement Experience :
I would say that placement from my college is good but I didn't focus on placement because I want to switch my field from technical to non technical and love to go in management. All the companies have vacancy for related courses. Furthermore, in internship, we have a professor who's job is to aware about internship and placement and I would say that he is good in his job.
College Events :
There are various type of events are celebrated in my college. Firstly, I would love to talk about tech-fest which is technical event for students. In this festival there are different types of events for respective stream of students. Which is held every year in college campus. Secondly, one of the best events of college is cultural festival. Which is held in one auditorium. Where students have chance to present there external skills such as dance, drama, singing, mimicry and many more. Thirdly, there are also entertainment events such as dj night, musical mornings, fresher party and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees of my college is very affordable which is only 1500 for sem and only for boys there are no fees for girls in government colleges. We can pay our fees by check,cash even from online application. There are not any additional fees for students to secure an admission. College always provide full detailed receipt to all students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I didn't apply for scholarship but there are opportunities of scholarship for OBC,SC and ST cast students. The criteria of the scholarship ia very basic, students must be of above list of cast and the annual income of their parents must be below 1.20 lakh. Students have to submit scholarship form with documents listed in form and have to submit in administration.
Campus Life :
There are more male gender in compare to female gender. Bur there is equality for both the gender and no issue in that point. The labs of my course ia very worst. University are only focus on theory part. Not even a single machine is working in my lab. We directly filling the datas in lab manual and submit it. Moreover, evey year we organise sports week where all the students are showing their sports skills of different game and college provide medals and certificates to winners.
Alumni/Alumna :
I would say that it's depend on students nature. If a student can do good conversation with senior and be friend of them then they will definitely help us. There is one of my personal experience I have with senior is I am weak in one subject and I don't know how to prepare so I asked to senior and she give me good knowledge and trics to clear examination.
Admission :
March-2015, I completed my 12th with PCM after that I given entrance examination of engineering JEE and cleared with good score. University declare marit list which is based on our 12th(60%) marks and JEE(40%) score. In the first round I am not able to enter in GEC-surat but I took admission in GEC-Bharuch and waiting for second round. Hopefully after some days they declared 2nd round and it was the great news for me and my family cause I was able to took admission in GEC-Surat which is in my hometown.
Faculty :
There are approximately 15 lecturers in my course. Most of them are in age between of 30-40. All the lectures are having good knowledge and master degree. As we know our government, mine is government college and professor are not completing syllabus in lectures. All the students are studying from themselves from internet, youtube and sometimes from seniors students.
