Remarks :
College is good for those who want to study and grab opportunities. Because they are there but you will have to work hard for them. You can also enjoy during your studies if you just want to grab on a degree.
Entrance Preview :
I came through AIEEE, mechanical engineering was the course i always wanted to choose, there are racing teams with which you can gain your practical experience and compete on national level in various events. Admission process was simple.
Internships Opportunities :
Tcs, tech mahindra, wipro, accenture, etc. these companies take students in bulk from all streams nearly and require 65% criteria. Package offered by these companies is 4 lac average. Placement for all sinhgad institutes is centralised and takes place in sinhgad vadgaon. Some excellent and promising companies take less students and not many get the opportunity to sit in those job interviews because the criteria is 70% followed by some of their tests. If you think you can grab the opportunity, go for it.
Placement Experience :
After completion of first yr regular amcat tests have to be attended by students so that college can upload their scores on cloud and companies can know them. Promising companies are their to place you but you have to work hard for it.
College Events :
Event celebrated is karandak. It is 7 days event. College remains closed these days. You can participate in various sports, management, technical, gaming events. Various artists do concerts just before karandak in vadgaon and every sinhgad student can register to that event. Edward maya, farhan akhtar, chain smokerrzz, jay sean artists that have done concerts.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
You want to join college hostel then you would have to pay extra 50000 for that. It includes food and room in hostel for a year. During studies in college there are small amounts that you will have to pay for extra seminars, trips, placement exams etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
One scholarship opportunity for overseas study in college of south africa. The college there is linked to the head branch of sinhgad. Teachers appointed for it came in class for registration of intrested students.
Campus Life :
Campus life is pretty good. Mechanical engineering students always have less girls in their class bt overall ther are girls and boys all around the college campus during college hours, no gender seems to be less in no. Workshops are organised in college by different other colleges or other colleges invite to attend theirs. Our college too organises many workshops on field work for the engineers.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms for living are ok but there is no WiFi facility. I mean it is there but seems like it's not. Electricity and water is available always. Food in mess is total junk but canteens are more than good. College has four canteens. But of you are staying in hostel you have to pay full 50000 whether you east in college mess or not.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure is not so hectic. In first year you have 2 25 marks MCQ exams and one final 50 marks exam in the last during 6 months (1 semester). Same goes for 2nd year. From third year there is 30 marks theory during semester and 70 marks theory at the end of the semester.
Faculty :
Faculty of mechanical engineering is decent. Technical support for any of your projects will be provided by teachers. Attendance is important. If you are regular teachers will be too fine and interactive with you thinking of you as a sincere student.
