Binita Soni's Review On K. J. Somaiya College Of Engineering - [KJSCE], Mumbai

Remarks :

The most important part is the campus and the teachers. They have a strong alumni background. You get s good exposure of variety of courses. I opted for this course because I was always interested in learning more about technology in this world. It would be awesome to know how technology works in real

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course was recently updated in 2018 and a lot of modifications were made. Students are allowed to choose their own specialization fields. The faculties were amazing, some of them are Dhruman utekar, Algonda Desai, Ranchna Desai.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, I applied for a social project internship. In the campus company called Nurturing lives. We ran a project to feed 500+ people across Mumbai. Over the course of the entire internship, we met various people. The stipend was a certificate. There was not a paid one. The process to apply for the internship was to fill a form.

Placement Experience :

Placements and job opportunities are really good. As a lot of notable alumni were there in this college. Many companies require sufficient score in aptitude tests. Companies such as Godrej, Infosys have been to our campus.

College Events :

The campus life is amazing. You can choose from various clubs present. Orion the car racing club has won many international awards. There are other clubs too. Some of them are emfinity-the maths club,Bloombox - the entrepreneurship cell of KJSCE.CSI- student society of India.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

You can apply for scholarships from the government. Such as scholarships for minorities. Other scholarships include the EWS scholarships. You need to have sufficient proof of income to avail these scholarships.

Campus Life :

The campus has its very own wifi, where student can login and use it anytime. The library is spread across the campus they can select books from wherever they like. The library uses bar code system where students can tap their Ids and use them.

Placement Experience:

Placement is not that good. Overall the average placement is only about 4,00,000 per year. And campus placement are there but it won't provide you high paying jobs you'll have to do that on your own. So focus more on personal skills

Placement Experience:

As I am in second year I don't have that much of idea about the placement but there are very good placements for the printing and intc branch in this college. There I will see near they got the very good packages for this branches and along with CS IT branches they got 40 to 50 lakh packages. Also the college provides the interview sessions and the placement training programs in that the experts come and give training to the students for placement programs. There are various students that are placed in with us countries like Japan Germany's and they are working in ITI and various professions.

I have also got nearly three placements. Currently, I am working in Accenture with a package of 6.5 lpa. I have experienced a decent placement process which was very systematic in that every or each of the students can get placed. For placements, SKNCOE is the best in Maharashtra.
