Very good college and campus

Remarks :

Good thing:- faculties, campus, hospital, management. Overall, it's a good college to opt. Bad thing:- I don't think if there is anything bad about the college, but I would like to suggest if they can decrease the tuition fee to make it more economical.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is very much groomed to bring out the best in the students, highly trained faculty and staff. They all tend to teach us through all the means available. Regular lab visits, instruments exposure etc. The best part is, they take the clinic hours very seriously so that the students can bring out the best in them to serve the humanity.

Placement Experience :

Well, as far as the course MBBS is concerned, there is nothing like placement. We have our options like, doing job, pursuing pg or practice yourself. Institute always tends to guide us through the process. They always help to prepare students for NEET PG or to do job.

College Events :

Lohri, annual fest(synapse), independence day, republic day, diwali celebrations. the annual fests are very good. It's a 4-5 days fest including cultural activities, celebrity night, stand up comedy, singing, dancing, skit, sports. Sports fest is also organised separately as DPL ie doctor's premier league.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

When I was enrolled, fee was 4lac pa, but now it is around 10lac pa, which may seem costly but when you compare to other private colleges teaching mbbs, it will look feasible. They have payment options like DD, BANKER'S CHEQUE, FUND TRANSFER. There are no hidden fee, whatever they take from you is only the tuition and misc. Fee, and hostel fee if you opt.

Fees and Financial Aid :

No, I didn't had any scholarship or loan. But if someone wants, loan can be easily obtained tbrough any bank. All you need is to visit the bank and show your documentz. Scholarship is available to students. Also, if someone is BELOW poverty line but have score 85% + in 12th boards, he is eligible for CM medhavi chhatra yojna, and whole fees is given by mp govt.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio in mbbs is 1:1, extracurricular activities include sports club, cultural club, arts club. There is no discrimination or ragging allowed in the campus. No student union, leadership or anything like that is entertained in the campus. Strict rules are followed, for the betterment of students.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I lived in the hostel for first year. Hostel rooms are nice with attached toilet, bathroom. They have double tier, triple tier, ac, non -ac rooms, as per the requirement. Rooms are neat and clean and janitors come daily to each room for cleaning.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors were amazing, they were always helpful and behaved as brothers. No thing like ragging can be noticed anywhere. As the college was started in 2009, the alumnus are still pursuing their post grads and super speciality courses in very prestigious hospitals. They all are inspiring. A senior of mine, Dr. Amit, presently working as medical officer, he influenced me a lot and always motivated me to study for neet pg to do post grad.

Admission :

First, I attempted NEET 2014 and got selected then this college was allotted to me through state quota seats in MBBS course. They also have all India quota seats and few NRI quota seats also. There is no management quota available upto my knowledge. I opted this course because it was my dream to become a doctor.

Faculty :

As there are many subjects in MBBS, viz 19 subjects. Each department have enough faculties who are well qualified and experienced. Hierarchy is hod>professor>assistant professor>tutor. The hospital is NABH accredited and all the labs are certified, MCI RECOGNISED.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This curriculum is one the few best developed ones which provides real time problem solving at an actual working facility. The medical college is a part of a tertiary care government hospital to provide , train and allow students to apply the knowledge acquired to utilise to treat the patient under the supervision and guidance of the faculty cum doctors at the hospital. The student feels the pride and responsibility of becoming a doctor and the special attribute the profession holds as a life savior of the society. The curriculum is constantly under modification and scrutiny under the nmc with several reforms over the past decades. Few aspects where more improvement might be done is the more clinical teaching at the initial years of course., which is currently started from 3-4 year. The exams are held often frequently with an internal assessment every 3-4 months followed by a pre- university and university exams each year. The exams hold a difficulty level of above average, making only the ones genuinely preparing for it to pass the exam. The passing percentage is 50 for each exam individually for practical and theoretical exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a professional course and you do need skills to treat patients as it may become a matter of life and death. The teaching curriculum is as per the guidelines of NMC which is a central body and consists again of great doctors with reputation all over India. So, I don't really think that I can really suggest any means to improve that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To do something great for mankind and for society influences me to join mbbs. Cbme is new curriculum of mbbs which more focusing on clinical skills of a student. Areas of improvement is cbme includes integrated learning but most college don't follow it so nmc should be strict for it. Two sessions exam in year and pre university exam and final University exam this exam includes both theory and practical and these are difficult for you if you're are not study through out the year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a professional course and gives one responsible work for life. There are many reasons for one to choose MBBS in their career line. GMC Khandwa is affiliated with MPMSU (Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University-Jabalpur). Faculty in every department is well qualified and experienced. Student Teacher ratio is quite good in college. Although the college is newly opened in 2017 and started students intake in 2018, there are some departments in which some faculty members are required more but are not sufficient due to slow recruitment. But I am very much sure that this loophole will soon be filled as being in pioneer batches, we have seen the growth and development of the college in these years. So we believe in an ongoing process by management. Exams schedule is based on guidelines provided by MPMSU.
