Akshay Paswan's Review On Sinhgad College Of Science - [SCOS] Ambegaon, Pune

Remarks :

The only thing at which our college lacks behind is the lab facilities because the systems are quite outdated and slow and also a few teachers are not quite serious about their jobs. The college needs to improve their faculty

Course Curriculum Overview :

BBA CA it's an interesting course. It usually deals with coding and computer language and also teaches us to design webpages.Talking about the exam structure, we have semester pattern that is 2 semesters in a year.

Placement Experience :

Yes,our college has tie-ups with multinational companies and they do provide placements and internships.I haven't graduated yet so I don't know the exact process but as far as I know once you complete your MCA the representative's of the companies conduct interviews for placements and interships.Once you pass the inteview you get selected for the job.

College Events :

Our college celebrates many events and cultural activities like Traditional day where everyone is instructed to wear their traditional clothes or clothes that represent their traditions then there's yoga day where every student gather in the auditorium and our principal gives speech about the importance of yoga in our life and its benefits and then everyone practises yoga in the auditorium. The there's aur annual day which is the most awaited day of the year where students perform skits, dance, singing, plays etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Its quite expensive.50000 per year and that to be paid all at once and students who can't afford to pay all at once have to write an application to the principal explaining the reason why they can't pay all at once.If the excuse is reasonable then only the principal grants the permission to pay the fees in installments

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes our college does has a scholarship facility known as Dr.Maulana Azad scholarship. The students who avail this scholarship get 50% of thier college fees back within a time period of 6 months. After 6 months the 50%of your college gets funded into your bank account

Campus Life :

We actually don't have very good lab facilities because the systems in the lab are quite slow and outdated that's a negative point of our lab.About sports we have good facilities for sports, huge playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis lawns.Students are allowed to play any sport in their free time

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes,our senior students are quite helpful to the juniors. The seniors are always ready to help the juniors and are always ready to clear doubts and and giving advice about how to prepare for exams And also give us advice about aur future

Admission :

First fill the online admission form and then wait for the merit list.Once you fit in the merit list then visit the office collect the admission form of your course and then submit it with the documents required and along with the fees

Faculty :

Faculty is quite good. There are a few teachers who take their jobs seriously and try harder to teach students and make them understand the concept.Although not everyone is the same. There are a few who don't even bother to ask students whether they are able to understand the concept or not. They just come in and start teaching just for the sake of completing the syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a keen interest in business,so I chose BBA as my undergraduate course in this college. This specific curriculum provides practical knowledge with real life business applications. This Course needs more practical knowledge and less therotical knowledge. Exams are conducted every 2 months until the semester ends

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant. The harvard business school online degree has made me choose this course. The curriculum prepares me well for the real world applications. The frequency of core subject examination is every semester - Countinous Assesment(CA1) ( written exam) , CA2 includes projects and final semester written exam. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate

Placement Experience:

From 2nd semester we started getting msgs for internships. Many of my friends have done their internships while studying. After graduation, you will get msgs for campus placements. I visited 2 companies and no offers were made. I don't know the highest package bt the average package was 2,40000 Lack per year. The percentage doesn't matters, personality and confidence matter the most. Now I am planning for my MBA.

Placement Experience:

Students from the fifth semester become eligible for the final placements. Many companies come to the college for campus placements, some of them are Deloitte, Infosys, tresvista, byjus, toppers.com, Wipro, Indigo, etc. Generally, packages offered by the companies range from 1 lakh to 10 lakhs. The highest package was 28 lakhs offered by Deloitte in the year 2020-2021. 50-60% of students get placed every year. Some go for placements and some for higher studies. I am also planning to go for MBA.

Remarks:

They have specialisation in retail and I am really into retail sector and my college was providing a specialisation with practical knowledge, we have a shoppers stop retail lab in our college where we are taken to every week and are made to do activities in the lab so it is not only about the book knowledge but also the practical knowledge and how to behave, act and work in the professional world, And unlike most of the other colleges which only provide their students with internships after their final years, in our college we need to an internship of 2 months after every year from the first year and our 6th or final sem is completely internship, so we don't have to go to college. This helps us to become good enough to work in any company or even our own company right after graduation.

Placement Experience:

Our college gets amazing placements from the biggest companies in the country from shopper stop for retail students to many more. Many of my classmates have already started their own startups thanks to the help of our lectures who encourage students to do these things.
